EMAW boost (aTm adv stats part 2)
« on: February 28, 2012, 09:09:18 PM »
1st   Pace   PPP   eFG%   TO%   OR%   FTR
KSU   32   1.38   73.1%   21.9%   33.3%   30.8%
Opp   32   1.03   47.9%   28.2%   46.7%   62.5%

2nd   Pace   PPP   eFG%   TO%   OR%   FTR
KSU   29   1.09   45.5%   20.5%   40.0%   63.6%
Opp   29   1.26   64.8%   17.1%   30.8%   22.2%

Total   Pace   PPP   eFG%   TO%   OR%   FTR
KSU   62   1.23   60.4%   21.1%   37.0%   45.8%
Opp   62   1.13   56.9%   22.7%   39.3%   41.2%

Weird numbers, especially for an aTm game. I expected to see a grinder, and it really wasn't. Plus, my ESPN box based unofficial 1st half stats were way off (I tweeted about them) because aTm had an amazing 5 "team" offensive rebounds. It is nice to see our FT rate get back up into the 40s, but concerning to get out oboarded again. Nice to see that 60.4% eFG%, which is evem more impressive considering we were 35% on 2pt shots.

Take the win, enjoy dancing, move on.

We go 12-17 from 3pt and 18-22 on FTs and the game was much in doubt with under 2 to play......  weird game indeed against these guys

The team offensive rebounds are always a weird stat, but we usually have more than opponents in seems like.   Strange that the only team rebounds in the game were theirs and all 5 were on the offensive end.    The one i clearly remember is the one where JO fumbled the possible rebound out of bounds early in the 2nd.

Yeah I looked at the ESPN stats and coudn't figure out how they had more possessions than us...they had fewer rebounds, more turnovers and yet more shot attempts.  The one missing piece was "team" rebounds...makes sense now.  Hard to look at our stat line and believe we only won by 6.
