Sheesh.
« on: March 07, 2010, 02:26:00 AM »
Either this loss hit goEMAWers hard, or nobody's quite sure how to respond.

Halfhearted (if that) meltdown effort after a halfhearted (if that) effort by everyone in Fred Bramlage Coliseum tonight.

Barely a page of postgame threads, and none very long.

Is everyone just stunned?  Trying to recalibrate expectations for this team?  Not used to following college basketball and therefore not aware of the appropriate response to this?  Taking the loss in stride as another kick in the pants that K-State fans have come to know and love?  Drunk from celebrating Fake Patty's?

At least Jack's Granddaughter stopped by to try to liven things up.

there may be something to the "not sure how to respond" theory.  but gpc melted down in pretty classic form.  i think goEMAW just doesn't have a good base of meltdown prone users.  that and dax missed the game, apparently.

_FAN was going pretty good for a while.  I was hoping he would really get the ball rolling as he rarely melts down.  Zacker or Dax showing up sometime today may help as well.

Still disappointed, but I can't meltdown like the pros.  I'm like the Lou of melting down.

i would venture a guess that this is the reason. Its certainly going to help blacking out this loss. 3/06/10 the day that didn't happen in KSU history. I'm sure it rings true for a good amount of people.

I think we have all been waiting for the typical KSU sports kick in the nuts.  I got mine last night.  Hopefully that is the worst of it and the guys come together and start playing like they had been.

At the very least, this loss should cost Frank a quarter mil at the negotiating table.  Probably be closer to half a mil.

Our melt downs are slower, protracted conflicts.  Think less blitzkreig/more afghanistan.  For instance the podcast won't meltdown until wednesday at the earliest.
