Squawks dealing with off-the-court controversy

Seems the squawks did not emerge unscathed after teaming with the refs to squeak out a victory against the Cats last Wednesday.  Fans turning on fans turning on players turning back on fans.  Quite a mess over there in Lawrentucky.

I bet Bill Self would fist fight Tyshawn Taylor if he could.

“I got into him and I said, ‘When are you going to learn that the only way people are going to talk good about you, is when you let your play do your talking. When you talk, you act like a spoiled little brat.’’’

Self recognizes the backlash directed at Taylor sometimes, and has defended his senior guard in the past.

“He is probably the most criticized player we’ve had since I’ve been here,’’ said Self, “but he brings a lot of it on himself.’’

During a discussion before the Oklahoma game, Self reiterated to Taylor that he must learn to dismiss criticism and mature.

“It does bother me,’’ Self added, “that for him to be a senior who’s started for four years, and hasn’t learned that with Kansas basketball, everything you do is magnified. That’s what’s frustrating.’’

Saw a segment with Coach Seff running ku practice on ESPN the other day . . . Coach Seff sure was doing a lot of yelling and screaming.   All the JoCo housewife bandwagon ku fans, who get all mad because that mean old Frank Martin yells at his players would have have been quite upset with the way Coach Seff was really letting his guys have it.

Whenever I read the comments section of an article about ku I usually get concerned about our own "Angriest Fans" label.   

Just a lot of anger in that bunch.
