My grandad turned 100 on Tuesday. Some of the crap I've heard him say over the years is pretty shocking . But he grew up on a farm in southwest Kansas and was born in 1911...so you just kind of laugh it off. Anyway, at my cousin's wedding a few years ago we were at Manhattan Country Club and there was an older black gentleman that was walking around clearing tables and stuff during the dance and he struck up a conversation with my grandad. I couldn't hear what they were saying, but I was mortified. Anyway, they shook hands and both laughed a bit and the guy walked away. I was incredibly relieved. Then I saw my mom talking to my grandad and she kind of smiled and nodded and then looked at me like

. She told me that my grandad said "that waiter has a really good disposition for a n*****."
My aunt and uncle (MAJOR KSU 'tucks) were talking about athletes over the break and how they were glad RGIII won the Heisman because he is so "well spoken." They also couldn't stop talking about how impressed they were with Victor Ojeleye. They just couldn't wrap their tiny minds around the fact that he's smart.
