Can you guys imagine what would happen if that was Energy on that breakaway instead of McGruder?

My concern with Wally is his rebounding. There were a few times last night were he went to box out and his guy simply moved him or went around him. There was also a time or two that he simply didn't try to box out.

He needs more minutes, but this type of thing has to be why he hasn't been getting them. Frank is all about D and boards.

I don't see why people can't see this.  This is THE reason he doesn't play consistently IMO.  At times the Morris twins pushed him around like an 8th grader.

Especially last night, where they showed replays of Wally whiffing on box outs multiple times.

But I have to admit, the allure of plays like the follow-jam is pretty intense.

He hadn't played in a game in like 2 weeks... of course he's going to be a little rusty.  In practice he has no one physical to go up against, don't give me colon, so he's not gaining any experience playing against tough guys on the bench.

I feel as if when judge leaves after his junior year, we will all say "Damn... We only played him for 2 years..."

JFC, I hope.

That would mean we had two terrific years from him.

I'll take it.

Actually, that was the 2nd photo from a half second later.

The earlier photo shows just how elite Wally is...

i doubt the Judgerator is a combo-fan, i really really doubt the guy gives two shits about old balls and his cast of misfit losers.

Hope not.

No way.  Probably 15-20.  Max.

I'm hoping Wally can take over Jam-Sam's role; come of the bench after 3-4 minutes, play 15-20 mpg, and be a 10-8 kind of guy.

probably not 25.  but i bet and hope it's closer to 25 than 15.  would love to see jhr completely frozen out.

it'll be interesting to see what they do with samuels.  so far the move to the 3 has been more hype than reality (and the reality part has been more failure than success).  but next year there certainly looks to be a lot more minutes in the backcourt than in the frontcourt.  it has to be tempting to just shift everyone down, but then you end up with a pretty poor ball handling team.  dunno.

This.  Have reservations about McGruds at the 2 right now...

Was just thinking this last night, who is gonna be the other guard besides pullen to start? Right now I see
Kelly, Jam-Sam, Sutton, Pullen and ???? Is one of the freshman this year going to pick it up for next year (can a hbbiq person tell me if mcgruder could ever play a guard or will he be stuck as a Dom role)
I'm purple down

This will be the biggest question going into next year.  Will be discussed on goEMAW podcast this week!

I'd like Irving bringing the ball up with Pullen at mostly the 2.  I don't think the other froshes could handle both ends of the floor.

Trying to envision a lineup where Wally is the 3...(prefer he be facing the basket, exclusively)

But I also believe in Jamar at the 3...

Rodney's fine at the 2. Rebounding would be fantastic.

Don't want to leave out Dom...

Jake
Rodney
Dominique
Wally
Curtis

Leave Jamar as 6th...

Bring in Freddy/Jordan at the end of the half so Jamar/Wally/Curtis don't pick up 3.

If Russell doesn't turn into a man this off season, Jake will def be our point(assuming no 2010 Frosh is much more than they seem to be).

I haven't seen anything from Irving to make me think he could be serviceable at point. Huge step down from Denis.

Jake at point, Irving/McGruder at 2. Both of whom will need to work on their three ball in the off season.  Much more likely for those two to slightly improve their trey, then for Irving's handles to get where they need to be to play point.

No offense boys, but I have concluded that it is a syndrome of the KSU fanbase to go full Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) everyonce in a while.

Even in a safe zone like this place - whereever Kats engage in group think, full Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) eventually hits.  :dunno:

F*ck it - its like 86% of the reason I keep coming back.

:love:you guys.

messes with my head thinking about wally and playing time.  because i dont really see many games if any we lose playing wally a bunch (certainly over colon) but do the extra minutes = defensive development?  seems like u learn more on the court than off.  just fail to see the downside.
