that's funny b/c i actually use a coach briefcase (yes chingon it carries 15 inch lappy and is waterproof)

chingon, minks are waterproof. so are beavers, but you don't get the look of real mink with beaver.

raccoons are not. they look awesome when wet though so maybe a small price to pay? also, only raccoons that died of natural causes make good bags. the others give the bag owner aids.

How waterproof are we talking? Like "take it with you scuba diving" waterproof? Fossil has some pretty sweet (padded) messanger bags. Not sure if you want to spend like $180 or not but that's my contribution to this thread so take it or leave it.

you can take your mink or beaver scuba diving, no problem. steve dave had a great suggestion about recycling naturally processed dead raccoons, but be careful about raccoons that are faking their own death.

I want to be able to bicycle to work in the rain and not have my lappy and important documents get wet.

comfort is also a huge plus.
