I don't happen to agree with him even though he presents mountains of evidence. I think kids tend to do other sports where they do well. Most happen to be very good athletes whether fast, powerful, or whatnot. I'm posting this here because he compiled a ton of info with big time names and their high school track numbers whether it's lineman in the throwing events or skill players in the sprints.
btw, lists the fastest pro football prospects at the combine and their fastest times while in high school track. Surprised to see just how many quality lineman have a throwing background. My only interest in this stuff is that for sprinting it's just a raw measure of true straightline vertical speed. In the throwing events it demonstrates power, explosion, feet, and coachability.
The fastest legit times I found for Tyler Lockett were 10.83 - 100 and 21.79 - 200...interesting to see what some of these guys ran in high school. I noticed that Aaron Lockett's fastest legit prep time was 10.57 though it still may have been wind-aided.
