In addition, Newman also made their All Decade team.  'Grats to Terrence.

The season: 2002
The buzz: Newman was one of the most decorated defensive players in program history. He won the Thorpe Award and was named the Big 12 defensive player of the year in 2002, when he helped K-State to an 11-2 record. Newman finished the season with five interceptions, two touchdowns on punt returns, a score on a kickoff return and a touchdown reception.

We should spend this years $7M profit on players, not monsoon stilted bathrooms and mismatched carpet.

wow, that is awesome.

also, on Terence's "kick return" i assume they meant his return of the blocked xp against USC, right?

I don't think so.

he became the second player in school history to score a touchdown on a kickoff and punt return in the same season.

34 second mark looks like a kick return.

If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

was great. was even better b/c I was on a board with lots of 'blackshirtsrandom#' nebraska posters at the time. think of our cody green thread in reverse, only cody green was elite and stuff and actually committed first and then add in lots of poorly spelled rants about how text messages are undermining the social fabric of youth today. also ron prince, so it was obviously good bbsing.

I remember getting the Freeman news the night before we were to head down to 810 zone in Leawood for the big Ron Prince introduction.  We waited outside in the dark to get a good spot. Everyone full of EMAW.  I hit the bar and ordered a bloody mary as soon as I got in.  Turn around and Ron Prince is right in front of me.  I shook his hand.  EMAW gushed out of every orifice.

To start the speech someone asks something like... "How did you manage to get a certain recruit from Bill Callahan?!?!?!"  Prince- "From who??"  HUGE laughs and applause and the first sign that Prince was a giant tool and destined for failure.

Best part was Rose's meltdown on the radio to follow ...
