Best Defensive Player

Nigel Malone, CB, Kansas State. In his first-ever game, the Wildcats' juco transfer intercepted a pass in the end zone and picked off another on the final drive to seal the Wildcats' 10-7 win against Eastern Kentucky. In a game that close and that low-scoring, those kinds of plays are monumental.

That INT he had deserves its own thread. Just an incredible catch

Quote
Worst half: Texas Tech's first half. Dennis Franchione is re-inventing himself at FCS Texas State, and the Bobcats somehow led the Red Raiders 10-9 at the break. Fortunately for Tommy Tuberville, his team rallied to outscore Texas State 41-0 in the second half and avoid any actual embarrassment.

I thought we would come out firing just like Tech did...but, instead we fumbled a snap and had to punt.  :bawl:

Which one, the diving one at the end of the game or the over the shoulder in the endzone where he had to change shoulders he was looking over at the last second and still tracked and caught the ball?

Also made up for a bad missed tackle a couple plays earlier

Felt pretty confident having Malone and Rat in there.  What did scare the crap out of me was having 2 dudes playing safety that I'd never even heard of.
