I hate them. They're bad for the environment and I drink a pot of coffee a day.

White midwesterners do love the crap out of them, though. My mom got one and thinks it's the coolest thing ever.

interesting. any reco's for an at-the-office brewer?

the office coffee maker everyone uses

gross.

I walked in to a bad situation at my work. The "coffee club" there has 1 commercial sized percolator, and the hayseeds there think it's ok to not only use Folgers medium roast exclusively (wouldn't have a prob with this), but to actually reuse the grounds.  They reuse the same grounds plus they add a couple scoops of new grounds once a day until friday, when they completely change out the grounds and filter.  It's nasty, probably a health risk.  When I asked why they do this it is to "save money on coffee."

Rather than worrying about getting my own coffee maker, I would just change jobs. What a disgusting place.

Or you could just go to Starbucks every day like normal, rich, excellent smelling people.   :kstategrad:
or not drink the brown piss people have named "coffee"

Caribou, Dunn Bros  :dunno:  I don't discriminate  :kstategrad:

Hey guys! I eat these really good burgers everyday! They're from McDonald's and Burger King. You know, the places normal, rich, excellent smelling people eat.  :kstategrad:

pffft, yeah, corporate coffee sucks maaaaaaaan, they come in and take from small businesses, maaaaaaaaaaan, everyone should drive an hour out of their way to a local coffee shop, maaaaaaaaaan.

Mods, please move Stevie's post to the Birther Pit.

TIA

Has more to do with shitty coffee. When you roast it in 100 pound batches, like Starbuck's, it ruins and burns the beans. You could just pull some crap out of your fireplace and brew that if you wanted.

What do you need with more thn one kindle?  You must be a voracious reader.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

I agree, there's nothing better for the environment than for gallons upon gallons of fresh drinking water that have been used to make coffee that goes un-consumed to then be tossed right down the drawn and then have to be re-treated using various chemicals and power intensive processes.

I love coffee, but I don't believe I have ever spent more than $12 on a new coffee maker, nor do I intend to in the future.  All it needs is an on/off switch as far as I'm concerned.  Why should I pay extra for a timer that I won't use or whatever else they put on those expensive ones.   :dunno:
