Trying to belittle KU's accomplishments has become tiresome and ridiculous.  They are damn good, have been for 25 years, and will be for the foreseeable future.  In some ways it sucks to share the state with them, but it gives us a great benchmark to shoot for.

amazing stat:during ncaa regional play @KU Self has beaten a seed higher than 8 just once (4th seeded SIU).   you just don't get that many chances to beat high seeds when you are a top seed.

No such thing as a seed number higher than 16.

They had to win a game to get to be an 11 seed.  That makes them lower than a 16 in my book.  They don't call the old "first" round the new "second" round now for nothing.
