RPI is trash as a way of ranking individual teams.  It is really only useful as a way to group teams that of similar qualities together.  kenpom is where it's at. 

If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Yes, but the NCAA committee is still stuck in the dark ages. Kenpom had a good post about how shitty the process is the committee shows the public. How much it's actually used vs what they discuss in private I don't know, but RPI is integral in those meetings.
