Pace: 58
3 PT%: Cats 15.8%, FL 30%
FTR: 34.5 to 34.9
OR%: 38.1 to 36
Other:
2PT%: 33.3% to 60.6%
Blocks: 2 to 7
TO%: 15.5 to 31
FL definitely controled the pace of this game, even though there were plenty of chances for transition (we had no fast break points). FTR was even, but we needed to be into the mid 40s or more. OR% was even, but again, we want to be 40+. The Cats did have a rather amazing TO% for this season of only 15.5.
Then the shooting woes. After starting 3-5 from 3, the Cats missed their final 14 shots from beyond the arc. Amazing stat. But almost more amazing was the 30% discrepancy on 2 point shots and the Cats overall 33.3%. While the Cats didn't get the pace they wanted, nor the FTR or OR% they wanted, they mainly shot themselves out of the game. An eFG% of 30 is simply an amazing statistic in offensive efficiency. The only worse efficiency game I can find from kenpom's stats of record was "turn out the lights" Nebraska at the OOD in Wooly's final season. So this wasn't just a bad offensive night, this was a historically bad offensive night, one of the worst in at least the last 9 seasons.
