I'm sure this Richmond character was good in the 50s or whenever he played but this is an entirely different game.  I'm sure that if he was alive right now and could watch one of today's games he would be the first to say he couldn't hang with the modern player.

Mitch Richmond - 6'5" - 215 - 40% from 3pt (NBA) - 14 inch vertical jump
Bill Walker - 6'6" - 220 - 40% from 3pt (NBA) - 54 inch vertical jump

Who do you pick?

JFC, you obviously didn't ever see him play.

Find a link to a video that shows him dunking a basketball and you win.

  Honestly, I know you're just being contrarian, but how about the windmill dunk @ 2:38.

Tim Hardaway @ 3:55: "The next best to Michael Jordan, yeah, Mitch Richmond."

not a windmill

That said, Mitch is a no brainer

LOL at all you rough ridin' dumbass Mitch Richmond haters.

So who in this little gang of Post 1990 K-State players is going off  to score 20,497 points in the NBA??

Wait, I'll answer.   The only one who might even come close is Beasley.

I'm pleasantly surprised to see the love for Denis.

Bill Walker is 23 years and 4 months old.  He has scored 595 points in the NBA.  He is currently standing at 41% from 3pt range in his NBA career.

When Mitch Richmond was 23 years and 4 months old he had scored exactly 0 points in the NBA.

But no, I don't think Bill can match Mitch's career.  He already has two shredded knees.  But if you want to argue about who is (was) more physically gifted and who I would rather have on my mythical KSU team, bring it.

FWIW, Mike Beasley is 22 years and 1 month old.  He has already scored 3,213 points in the NBA.  He does not have shredded knees.

Reminds me of a story I heard.  Mitch was sitting in Edwards Hall with a couple of guys watching Jordan's Bulls playing Magic's Lakers on TV.  Suddenly, out of nowhere, Mitch says: "I think I can play with these guys."

He was right.

But I would still pick Bill.

Do and of you retards that are saying Beasley and Walker were two of our best ever think that while these two players played on the SAME team together at KSU, they made the tourney, lost in the 2nd round, and didnt even win the conference? Add Richmond instead of Walker to that team and they are in the final four. Walker was a joke. All he could do was jump high....occasionally.   :powerespect:
