During the game La Tech game they announced attendance around 53,500.  Said it was the 3rd largest crowd in history or something.
Yep. We break the record against TCU, no?

Essentially Flyertalk / Re: Student loans
« on: August 13, 2015, 10:18:41 AM »
Graduated with an engineering MS/BS and +$40,000 in student loan debt.  So basically all of school, had some schollies and parents helped when they could.

However, one thing I regretted- not refinancing my loans earlier.  Had to take out private loans because my parents made too much (lol) for federal assistance loans. Guess it didn't help they were both self employed at the moment? Idk, it was a joke if you ask me. Anyways, with private loans can come high interest rates, which for me ranged from 8-10%.

Within a year of being post-grad, and seeing my interest statement to file for taxes, i about cried. Decided to do some research, and took awhile, but found a couple good resources for refinancing. I used 'Darien Rowayton Bank' but SoFi was offering simliar deals. Got my loans consolidated and down to 2.5%.

So basically I figured out my payments so that my interest paid for student loans in a year is exactly the max amount to deduct from my taxes.

Long story short, student loans are pretty much a 'standard' in today's education, but do your research and be smart about what interest rates you agree upon. And eff Sallie Mae with a 10 foot poll wrapped in barbed wire.

I felt like I was trapped inside a corpse all day yesterday. Head was pounding, hands were shaking, sweating all over the place, and I felt really spacey. I'm sure going liquor, liquor, beer. Liquor, Liquor, pack of smokes, beer, etc. Was not the wisest move.

Basically in the same boat.  I get these debilitating hangovers if i follow the recipe for disaster you just described. Cigarettes don't help, because the next day you're basically coming down from alcohol and tobacco.

Today has also been hell.

Been doing P90x style workouts for a couple years now, pretty good results.  Now that I travel 3 weeks out of the month, I bring resistance bands with me to workout in my hotel room since lots of hotels have really pud weights and bands are very versatile.  Getting pretty bored with the p90x workouts, and I am having trouble finding some good/intense resistance band workouts on the web.  Anyone know any good resources?

Tackling was poor at times today.  Dorian Roberts needs to be reminded that he has arms.
This. I yelled "wrap up" at the tv like five times today.  Sounded like my pop warner coach .

When is the age when its not socially acceptable to black out every weekend?  I still haven't learned that I can't drink like I could at school.  In college yes I would black out sometimes, but usually it was something I planned on doing.  Now, it just happens accidentally. I'd like to break this habit, since remembering most of my weekend should be a thing.  Oh, and I could do without the Sunday deathbed hangovers.

I had a friend once (female) who got done with her business in a public bathroom only to realize there was no toilet paper to be found. So looks under the stalls and sees no feet anywhere. She builds up some confidence and waddles to the next stall over. As soon as she opens the door an older lady walks in with a perfect view of her running to the next stall. My friend jumps into the next stall, locks the door, and the older lady is still just standing by the bathroom door. After a couple moments of silence my friend goes, "I'm sorry". The older lady then left the bathroom in silence.
ew why would a girl ever tell u that story
