Aren't their situations considerably different?  I hope they let Selby play, it will just be another lame ass excuse for ben and company when we beat them this year.

The more I think about the more I think we may stand a chance.  I expect Mizzou to have some long TD passes but I also expect them to stall out on several drives because the don't run the ball all that well.  I can see us throwing some gimmick plays in after they start loading the box. Harper gets a TD pass in this game.  We are outgained by a decent margin but pull out a close one.  (This board will spend next week downplaying this win.). 31-24 Purple Power Cats.

If we beat Missouri, it will prove we are a good football team.  I am becoming more convinced by our past performance against pro style qb's that we aren't going to get torched. They have a good defense and if we can move the ball with whatever qb starts saturday I will be really impressed.

Didn't Urban Meyer win a couple MNCs?  Not sure comparing him to Drew is accurate.

Not in terms of success on the court/field in terms of how dirty he runs his program.

1.)  14-4
Snyder's record against the Pinkels. Only time the pink man has ever beaten Snyds was last year, after Prince tried and died 3 straight times. Snyds has a long history of out-coaching and frustrating Mizzie.

2.) 68-82
The number of rushing attempts/total yards by Gabbie. Our biggest problem in losses has been a mobile QB, and Gabbie doesn't fit the bill. Okie St is the exception and quite honestly Weeden is as good as Gabbie, and that loss goes in large part to our anemic offensive performance. Plus, their offense is pretty one-dimensional and shouldn't expose too much of our weak run D.

3.) 0-2
Mizzie's record over the last 2 games. They started strong (not unusual) but they can't finish. Plus, they've gone through the toughest part of their schedule and are tired. Pinkie's teams have a history of fading badly in the back half, and last week's loss against A&M is a bad sign for them.

Conclusion:
I'm going to take just a couple small sips from the purple pitcher and call 31-28

Frank mentioned JMU had a transfer from A&M, did a little digging looks like its this guy.  Should be interesting to see how we match up against a big with a legit D1 body.

I vote Nebraska loses the rest of their games.

With the impending confidence KU's first big 12 win in two years has most certainly given them, will 76-39 be looming the back of Nebraska's mind?

Hate to throw a wet blanket on this EMAW euphoria.  But you do realize all our games at The Bill (except the cupcake) are all probably losses (UCLA, Neb, OSU, and Texas) leaving our season's hope being pinned on our ability to be road warriors! Cross fingers  Dunno  Cross fingers

If the chiefs aren't gifted that punt "muff" towards the end of the game they more than likely never even see overtime.  I think KC ends up with probably 9 wins this season maybe 10 which is a great improvement on their record last year.  The WR situation looks pretty bleak  :frown:

snyder owes us starting slammy against north tejas.  If he does well we can bitch about how we could have had 10 wins and if he sucks balls we can forget about it and watch sams next year.

The New Joe Montgomery Birther Pit / Re: "Green" Energy
« on: November 07, 2010, 07:56:34 PM »
You guys are right. We should just get rid of all of our hydro, nuclear, and wind power and use nothing but coal and oil for energy. Then we would have air quality as poor as China and health care and entitlement costs would go down because our life expectancy would be about 60.

We should do whatever costs less and do our best to make it as clean as possible.  Pretty sure you could have a gerbil run on a wheel and create energy, it's renewable, but a stupid idea.

We need to stop acting like the current output of smoke in the US is like a campfire in a closet and realize its more like a matchstick in the Jerry Dome.  What happened to "plant a tree"?  Have we given up on the Rainforest and the Ozone?

It's ironic that libs create a "Fear Rally" all while continuing to create phony crisis' to push they're useless agenda.  :flush:  The sooner you realize it's all just a grab for power and to make people behave how they want, the sooner you'll realize how useless being a lib is.

Isn't that what we are currently doing? Most renewable energy projects are actually powered by baseline coal power production. It's only retards (on both sides) who think that green power is going to eliminate the need for fossil fuels. Clean air is a good thing. Sometimes you get what you pay for, Sugar Dick.

libs are complaining about what we're currently doing, Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!)

I thought this thread was complaining about what we are currently doing, Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!). You shouldn't fight green energy. You should invest your money into it. It's not going to go away.

Are there any green energy companies that make money without government subsidies?

to be fair this could be said about many different industries

Gotcha.  Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) coach (who has a NC) and an idiot qb (the number #1 qb recruit in his class) are the sole reasons for an entirely one sided victory (on both sides of the ball) and our team had absolutely nothing to do with it.  That makes complete sense now.

not the sole reasons.

but you do really credit cosh for making ut's qb make errant throws that resulted in interceptions?  once texas stopped even pretending to run they didnt move the ball on offense at all until we started playing an almost prevent style defense to waste time.  mack brown is such an idiot that he gave up on the run game against one of the worst rush defense's in the country.  and specifically he gave up on the qb run game which not only did gilbert show he could do but kstate has proved all season they cant stop.

Texas' yards per carry was 5.4 on 26 attempts for 140, even when they "abandoned" the run, still averaged more yards per carry than us, and all we did was run.  Gilbert had almost 100 yards on only 9 carries???They had 272 passing yards on 32 completions. Yeah, they threw 59 times,  thats because their offensive coordinator lost his binder tonight before the game,  on only 14 possessions, which 4 of those possessions didn't last more than 3 plays because of INTs? C'mon.  When their QB wasn't misreading the coverage and throwing up horrible passes to pick off, or just plain missing his recievers,  Texas moved the ball on us.  Gilbert would just eff up. They ACTUALLY kick the FG that 1st possession, make it, suddenly its 7-3 and still a ball game AND they forced us to punt on our next possession. Scary thought.

Look, I'm as happy as anybody we beat the cac outta Texas.  This just was a weird game, and we caught Texas at the right time. They are a team of mind-effs who mentally checked-out of this game once we went up 17 nothing.

Our defense is still very bad.  Missouri will eat us alive.  Bowl-eligibility is one thing, but I worry about who we'll play in that bowl game and whether or not they will have a bad-ass offense that will embarrass us, and that's because of that piece of cac Cosh sucks at his job.

Great analysis here, I rewatched the first half and we still came out in the same formations on defense, still got blown off the ball with our line, still arm tackled and misread/ over ran the ball on almost every play.  There were a few occasions when we went with a three down line while showing a blitz and backed out that hybrid linebacker at the last second while bringing a safety from the opposite side.
