Safford might be out.  Had a knee injury against CU and didn't return.

KU getting involved with McLemore now.

We love K-State's black uniforms.  Incredibly elite.  Please wear them more often.

Mostly because Mizzou fans hate it?

Hanging on to a 2 seed period would be an accomplishment.

so not that it matters, but do we or others need to have a better appreciation for the job frank did his first two years?  cause when you compare it to Capel, frank's doing/has done a better job with arguably the same or less talent.

they're really young, and have no depth.  They should be better than they are, but not significantly better.  Big dropoff when WW is out.

wouldn't they have, collectively, more talent than our '08 team?  warren/mason-griffin/tiny > beasley/walker?  We were young all around and our depth wasn't good either.

Kinda off topic, but that 08 roster was stacked when you consider we had Clemente, Samuels and Hoskins inactive.

We win because we have players. Good coaching plays a part in it, but you need players first. As long as we have players we can win.

I'm not disagreeing, but Jim Woolridge would be 6-10 with this team.  true story.

For some reason I think I dislike MU more than KU right now.  Maybe its temporary.

This.  I think it's because they have the audacity to not be a Nortard.  Hate them :chainsaw:

It also varies.  Sometimes very slow(overly so) and deliberate, other times very quick and rushed looking.

This is a bigger issue than simply having an ugly form, and could be a side effect of lack of cofindence.  If he's second guessing himself when he takes shots,  it'll show up in this manner.  Honestly, I've not noticed this, but it's not like there is a large sample size to look at.  It'll be interesting to see if some confidence leads to a consistent stroke.  How pretty it is doesn't concern me as much as how consistent it looks (and obviously how often it goes in)

If Dom has truly turned a corner in this regard, it's a HUGE deal to Dom's after college prospects.  It's a pretty big deal for KSU's next 45 or so games as well.  That said, I would still make him hit a couple if I were an opposing coach...

Yeah, but what happened after we lost Beasley? Also, look at UNC right now. It's great for one year to have a OnD player, but from day 1 Frank has said he wanted to build a program. OnD players don't build programs, unless you can get them every year. I doubt we have the ability to get them every year at this point. Unless we do, he just takes up experience from someone who will be playing the next year.

I hate every rough ridin' word of your post.

Who usually attends the tapaks?  gotta decide if it's elite enough for Yosh.

IMO, this game is about Kelly and Samuels and the bigs.  How well they :

A. Exploit mismtaches offensively.

B. Provide help D on the guards

C. Outrebound OU's smallish frontline.

Will determine the outcome.  The guards likely play to a stalemate..if the game becomes all about the guards, we probably lose a close one.

Some of these need official pronunciations.  Also, how to you pronounce this site?

"go e.m.a.w"?     <<<--- horrible

"go every man a wildcat"?  <<<----even worse

"go e-ma"?  <<<---meh

"go-ma"? <<<---- :excited:

Because you got owned like a $2 whore, that's why.

Okay, that was a bit harsh.  Don't lump me in with HawkAlum, though.

I love your fallback on team accomplishments tactic when comparing individual players.  Completely nonsensical, but effective none the less.

meh.

I'd have them each play a 319 game schedule against each other at a neutral site and call the 34 with the best record the best 34.   :users:

Probably ends up #2 all time.  Samuels will make that list eventually.

wtf was he so pissed about to slam a ball like that?

Maybe it was the 4 absolutely ridiculously bad calls that went against Nub and put KSU from 11 down to tied in a matter of about 2 minutes. :dunno:

Yeah.  And Doc was making it clear to the officials by looking at each and holding up 4 fingers while yelling "4 calls" for the next several minutes after that happened.

Really sounded great on ESPN 360.  Sounded like he was yelling directly into Sharpe's mic.  Didn't hear the "chicken$hit/pathetic", though.

BTW, has the rule changed?  Why did Nub keep possession after the tech?  Or am I confused?

Techs don't change possesion.  Whomever had the ball before the tech, has it after the tech.

971
Would we have a loss if he came to State?   :dunno:  Doubt it.

Damn thing doesn't cut and paste correctly so here's the link.  It appears that we have almost double the chance of making it to E8 as a 2 seed than a 3 seed.  The amazing (and most relevant, imo) is that you have almost 4 times the chance of making it to the Finals as a #1 vs. #3 and three times as high as a #2.  I would've never guessed there was that big of a difference between the 1's and 2's.

I think this little chart should be posted up on the wall of the locker room to help give the dobes any additional motivation to go out there an kick ku's ass and at least make it to the Finals of the B12T in order to have a shot at the #1 seed.

Says more about the separation in how good the ones are more than it does about how seeding matters.  Case in point: we're currently a 2 seed, but we have next to zero shot at making a one seed.  The ones are pretty much decided with a month left before selection Sunday.  I don't think a typo flip-flopping our seeding with KUs would give us 3 times likely a shot to make the final four.

In other  words: the ones are just the best teams (duh)
