SMU must get really butthurt when they watch Baylor slip out of every scandal with minimal consequence.

At times the right side of the offensive line was pure comedy.

Out of all things I can't think of a more overrated group the last 2 or 3 years.  Most athletic D lines regularly clown suit them.

:nono:  Although I agree with you.

All-Snyder team-

What is this Goolsby nonsense?  I want Travis Wilson.
Rock Cartwright was the best FB and the best name in program history

The prospect of adding Houston and some other team that no one gives a crap about playing just makes the Mountain West seem more appealing.

I definitely do NOT want Houston.  However, the Mountain West is dirt poor relative to the Big 12.  Let's just wait until football is banned, THEN look into the Mountain West.  Until then, let's just ride this annuity stream.

If you go to the equivalent thread on the Shag, there's actually "support" for Houston among the active realignment followers. Now, when I say "support", it's like accepting that the dinner you are about to eat is edible, but not what you wanted.

The consensus among the Texas guys is that Houston can easily be as competitive as TCU if they keep hiring guys like Briles, Sumlin, and Herman, and if they get an invite and access to our resources, they may be able to keep one eventually. The talent pool in Houston is just too ridiculous not to field a bowl level team almost every year with just signing local kids.

I see their potential, and I like them a lot more than Memphis for several reasons. Again, rumor on the Shag is that Houston is who OU wants, and the primary drivers are academic (Tier 1, big endowment), and a fairly well accepted theory that Boren has been working a side deal with Fox to get a Big 12 network sans Texas (we'd still get their road games on the network).  Again, this is supported by Fox owning T3 rights to so many of our teams.

Also, to respond to a separate comment, the other accepted theory is that Bowen wants to stay in the Big 12, and regardless of whether or not they make the playoff (which of course they will), he's still going to push because of this dialogue he's been having with Fox. In essence, he will double down to prove that it's not about the playoff. OU fans that aren't stupid are very pro-Big 12 because they realize how financially solvent we are compared to the Pac 12 and ACC, and how rough ridin' stupid it is to wish for home games against Iowa and Minnesota.  The OU/KU Big Ten/SEC bullshit is mostly coming from t-shirt OU fans and KU fans, who are desperate for KU football not to be Futility U, and they see any change as helping them do that.

It's also believed that Fenves (UT pres) is open to expansion, but former AD Patterson wasn't even open to listening because of any threats to short term revenue. It's also believed that Boren's campaign earlier this year was a shot at him, and not really anyone else. He was apparently universally reviled by everybody.

It's not our problem, but what does Houston do for WVU in regard to a travel partner and getting another team in that time zone :dunno:  Also seems that 3 years ago UT was thought to be the most against U. Houston in any circumstances?

I think any of our opponents with access to a TV probably line up their D so as to invite Bazooka Joe to check into a pass play, EVERY.F**KING.DOWN

I have never met a 73 year old that was capable of doing a job effectively, and coaching a football team is a very hard job. Unless Bill and Currie can find someone willing to be the coach in waiting and run the team while Bill is the figure head, then Bill needs to retire.

I'm nearly as old as Bill, there is no way he can concentrate and function close to what he could at even 65, and the rate of decline accelerates with each passing year.

Recruiting is much better now, compared to our good years on the field. We sucked at recruiting during the Colin years and we're paying for it now.

Yes Coleman has made Georgia into what Florida was in the early days of Bill 1.0, but we are only seeing it in Duke right now.

Nobody probably knows who she is but is freshman middle blocker Macy Flowers going to play this year? She's been hurt.

Macy will redshirt this season.

She played Saturday at TCU.

Yeah saw that, really late in the season to see her first action, the season is half way over. Didn't see the match but her numbers looked good. I will see the ladies twice this week, looking forward to it. I'll give you a full report on Macy on Wednesday night.

“We have to do a better job of getting into things that our guys can execute against what opponents do to you,’’ said Snyder, realizing that better play-calling is required from coaches.

“We need to invest more time and continue to scrutinize the things we have not got engrained in.’’  :whistle1:

Until I see Bazooka Joe pitch it to a Defensive End , Schwin will retain the title.

Any realignment article can be completely invalidated if they have Baylor going to the Pac-12.

The Pac-12, especially the power cabal of Stanford and Cal, will never take a religiously affiliated private school.  You may as well chisel that on a tablet of stone.

The guy must imagine Ken Starr as superman if he thinks he could strong arm Baylor into the Pac-12
