For $6 million you could reanimate or clone Jack Hartman. That's what we should do.
Could $6 m also just rejuvenate Tex? Better option, IMHO (actually had a final four or two, didn't he?).

52
Jankovich is my favorite candidate otherwise.
DO.NOT.WANT.

Hoiberg sounds intriguing (are the Bulls already done with him?)
Sampson same (doesn't he have one of those oscar Pearl clauses or something?)
For that kind of scratch ($6 M, plus a oscar-like $1 or $2 M per year) couldn't we get that Marshall dude from Wichita State? - not sure I would want him, but he seems to be consistent in fielding good squads.
Time to let Francisco Martínez go, hermanos. It's hard to accept, but we have to do it.

I agree, but honestly, I'd have to see who the other three teams are to be able to wrap my head around how we go about winning those last 2 games.
I'm still trying to wrap my head around how we win a "must win" game, FINALLY. I don't think Wake Forest will be much different than Tech, Oklahoma State or any other team we split with or played close all year. Here's hoping the guys finally learned how to close one out FTW.  :bwpopcorn:  :ksu:

7 games to win it all. I thought we were just talking about the road to the final 4, though.
Why settle for the Final 4 when the Natty is available? (Huggins, 2006 - paraphrased)  :ksu:

Only 5 games away, K-S-U. Don't give up hope yet. If we can beat Baylor twice, we can beat Wake Forest, Cincinnati, UCLA, Kentucky, and North Carolina.
Seven games, no? It will be fun to take on Wichita State (I'm assuming they handle Kentucky) in the Sweet 16.  :ksu:  :bwpopcorn:

Like
(only because "Love" wasn't an option)
But Frank ain't walking through that door.

If we win out and are Big XII tournament and NCAA champions I will drive the oscar bandwagon
I call shotgun.  :excited: :ksu: :emawkid: I trust that _Fan has done the math on this one. 11 more wins and I say give oscar an extension.

oscar isn't going anywhere.
In the end, this is what we all hate to admit.

Guys, I think I'm depressed. Is there an online quiz so I can check my symptoms?

2012–13   Indiana   29–7   14–4   1st   NCAA Sweet Sixteen
2013–14   Indiana   17–15   7–11   T–8th
2014–15   Indiana   20–14   9–9   T–7th   NCAA Round of 64
2015–16   Indiana   27–8   15–3   1st   NCAA Sweet Sixteen
2016–17   Indiana   15–12   5–9
Can't remember if Coach Weber started 2012-13 or 13-14 - either way that's one more torn-a-ment than we've had during that time. At least he has a little passion - maybe he could be a mash-up of oscar & Frank? Probably an upgrade from oscar (he can recruit, right?), but would be pretty underwhelming. Unfortunately, if this is oscar's last lap around the track, I think we're in for an underwhelming choice anyway. Man, K-State basketball used to be so fun . . .   :bawl:

Jerome Tang Coaches Kansas State Basketball / Re: NIT or NOT?

I wish our seniors would make a statement like this guy:

http://www.espn.com/blog/collegebasketballnation/post/_/id/21113/jacob-pullen-wont-play-in-nit

Maybe I expect too much?  :ck:

Should have tried to pound it down lower, DJamer was getting the foul advantage, and we never really did anything to overly exploit it.
To me, this is key to our success. DJamer should score 20 a game for the rest of the season. Every damn game the announcers point out that DJamer has the highest FG% in the league. It's like we don't scout our own team.  :bang:

62
I keep hoping (gotta stop doing that to myself) that DJamer's Leadership + Wes' Leadership = Jake Pullen's Leadership
We need them to hold a senior press conference and declare that they are NOT playing in the NIT.

Circa 1990 - 91 me would make a sign like this:

If I played guitar I'd be Jimmy Page
The girlies I like are under age

We're going to finish on a good win streak too.
This. He'll start winning impossible games. It will start on Monday. It will be like his 3rd/4th win vs KU and that will save him under Currie.
I think this too. It's very Brucey of him. Beating KU this year gives him life for another season. Man, this sucks. Can we beat KU and still not make either the torn-a-ment or the NIT?

Jerome Tang Coaches Kansas State Basketball / Re: I've had it with Wes
« on: February 01, 2017, 10:48:31 PM »
I really don't understand what people's issue is with Wes, I think it is based on people assigning him ideal attributes because of how he looks.
For me, it's the flashes of brilliance he shows. He'll take off from the free throw line and jam it down everyone's throats. He'll stutter step and sink a three. He'll ball out and steal the ball to dunk it on the other end.

I love Wes and I want to love him full time. But, he's just so inconsistent. He disappears for long stretches. As a senior he (and DJamer) just need to put this team on their shoulders like Jake did. Or, maybe I should stop caring about basketball.  :bang:

pretty hip for a bunch of old fellas
Watch what you say about Andre Coleman!  :shakesfist:

one thing about oscar is that he has an innate ability to balance the fulcrum.  a loss would really shift the pendulum and that just doesn't happen with oscar.
I'm not sure which force is stronger, oscar's fulcrum balancing ability vs. oscar's teams' inability to win on the road? Finally! This game has intrigue enough to make it watchable.

According to Pew reasearch, illegal Mexicans are leaving america, so this problem should work itself out.
LOL at people who think that illegal = Mexican. You poor sheltered human being. Expired visas anyone?

Mr. Taco Trucks on every corner is the prototype of the Trump Latino enthusiast, you really want to cast your lot with THAT guy?

VERY few immigrants come to the USA thinking it's the land of handouts. Ironically, despite anti-immigrant fear-mongering, immigrants are the ones keeping the TRUE American Dream of hard work and a better tomorrow alive. It's kind of inherent in the country's DNA. If we lower in-migration to the USA, our country dies (because, you know, demographics). If you ever want to come see the American Dream alive and well, go to an immigrant enclave and you'll marvel at the entrepreneurship, hard work, and optimism.

Always root 'Cats.

..and mean, you can't write a more perfect script. My only hope is that if we do lose*, it will be another Bruceketball collapse.

*I want us to win... but just don't see it.
'Grats to Brad. Until this team proves it can win on the road, I'm going to assume all roadies are "Ls."  :Crybaby:

74
he also told the team once at haltime in AMes that they made him want to blow his head off with a  shotgun.
Sounds about right. They've played some horrible 1st halves in Ames.  :billdance:

75
Clemson obviously prayed harder before the game after hearing Watson's & Dabo's post game interviews.
 :buh-bye:
Coach Snyder one time said something like "God has children on both sides of the ball, I don't think he's pulling for one team over the other."
