Our special teams has been amazing this year. Could we promote Sean to DC if we fire Cosh?

And so it begins . . .

Defense...we're doing it wrong. :(
:chainsaw: I hate our zone coverage (gave it a brief reprieve (sp?) after Malone's 2nd INT, but) it leaks and leads to losses. I hope we stop it.  Oh, yeah, and blitz once in a while too, please, thx. It's really clear to me that when our offense can't chew up the clock, our defense shows its not (much?) better than last year's version.

eff IT! ADD'EM ALL!

+100 - build it and the $ will follow. It's time to stop fighting off destruction and go on the offensive.  I thought Neinas would bring this, but I think the remaining Big XII schools are slowing him down.

no where else id rather be than in the student section, or my familys seats we've had for 20 years now.
eff the press box

+1 I've done the pressbox @ the 'Cats & the Chiefs, I REALLY miss the crowd when I'm up there. Give me the people, the noise, and the atmosphere (unless it's cold out, then give me the pressbox, or better yet my couch).  :lynchmob:

Sproles was is such a badass.

FYP, but he is being squandered.  Play Darren!  :ksu:

BTW, Thanks, Ira! You're faster than Jimmie John's on the stats.  Next time you're in Milwaukee (or I'm wherever you are) the brew is on me.

Has a good ring to it.  We need DeLoss Dodds to awaken his inner EMAW and do this for us.  :bwpopcorn:

Smart KSU QB's-Colin Klein, Carson Coffman, Grant Gregory, Dylan Meier, Allan Evridge, Kevin Lopina, Marc Dunn, Brian Kavanaugh, Matt Miller, Chad May
Dumb KSU QB's-Alan Webb, Ell Roberson, Jonathan Beasley, Michael Bishop
Dumb half or the time smart the other half KSU QB's-Josh Freeman

Did I miss anybody?  Tell me the QB and I'll put them on one of my lists

Kavanaugh & May on the "Smart" list? That's a REAL laugher!  I also don't think I'd put Ell on the "Dumb" list, he belongs on the Freeman list at worst.  I agree that Beasley goes on the 1/2 and 1/2 list too - for consistency, he was our most successful QB and game manager ever.  Never saw enough out of Marc Dunn to make a real determination there.  Another one for the low IQ list is Smargiasso (sp?). Where would you rate Adam Helm, Paul Watson, Carl Straw, who else are we missing from the Snyder/Prince eras? (can't remember the name of the kid with the stomach disorder . . . )

Plus the fact that CK is not going to bang some chick in his hotel room and be accused of rape before the BCS game puts him above Ell as well.

...let's not rush to conclusions just YET.  Let's compare Ell's final 7 games to CK's final 7 games this year - then he just MIGHT deserve to have two young ladies pay him a visit the eve of our bowl game  :crossfingers:

Also, I think the DS43 variable is an important one.  Let's see how his final 7 games (2003) stack up against Hubert's final 7 this year too.  I have a hunch DS43 came on as the season progressed AND that E3's passing numbers improved too.

Ira, can we get a preview on this? If so, the first round's on me!  :drink: ('cept w/Lager or IPA for me, not a big fan of stout)

you're all idiots if you don't want ND in non revenue sports.

This x 100, wiser words were never typed. Bring on ND!

388
Roberson 2003 first 7 games (not counting the two he missed): run 117-551 yds-10 TD, pass: 76-146 (52%) 1313 yds, 7 INT, 13 TD - 5-2 record

Klein 2011: run: 151-670 yds-14TD, pass 82-138 (59%) 934 yds, 3 INT, 8 TD - 7-0 record

Wow! Can't argue with those facts. I wouldn't have put CK with Ell just yet, but apparently he belongs in that class.  Let's hope he'll hoist a Big XII trophy like E3 did too.

Kansas State Football / Re: keys to victory
« on: October 24, 2011, 11:31:04 AM »
I've liked the pressure we've gotten from our D-line this year so far, even when we don't blitz.  They're the key, IMHO.  If we can rattle Landry, then OU's beatable.  If he has time, I'm afraid of Broyles.  On the other side, OU's D CAN stop the run, so CK's going to have to hit a big pass or three. I'd love for McDonald to light up their safeties like OU's humongous TE lit up Coop back in the Big XII champ game back in the day.

It should be a fun one to watch - sad I can't be there in Manhappiness - make noise for those of us off the purple grid.

when frank decides he's mature enough to handle the red white and blue, we'll be here.  until then maybe he needs to get back on the raft and head south and hang out with his homie "pitbull" in the barrio.  these colors don't bleed.

Uh, pissclams, you DO know that Cuba's flag is red, white, and blue too, right? Also, you do know that Miami is in Florida, right? Just checking.

Frank, I disagree with everything pissclams said and love it.  please continue.

x 3 - also, haven't you all ever heard the saying, "you can take the cubano out of Miami, but you can't take Miami out of the cubano."  Leave Frank alone, his style is good.  Would LOVE it if Pitbull wore that jersey and there was pub on it.

Yep, I was at that USC game too. This is NOT that game. We don't have near the same talent in 2011 as we did in 2001.  USC in 2001 was probably not quite as talented as Miami 2011 (especially offensively). I don't think this game is ever close, even though WE think it is, final score Miami 21 - K-State 10.  I have a feeling that K-State will have somebody really have a GREAT day - probably garner them an All-American or position award or something later on (could be Arthur Brown, he'll definitely want to lay the wood to his old team).

Can't remember.

As many as it takes to win! - oh, you mean the record? That answer is 22. :kstatriot:

funny how only a few people have seen this "national" commercial.

Can verify it was on the TruTV feed/Time Warner in Milwaukee just before our game started last night.  Laughable commercial, really.  My wife saw it and said, "ooh, look, Blue Man Group."

You know sometimes living inside a cats fanatic bubble it is hard to figure what life is like out in the wilderness.  Good luck brave souls, you are on the front lines.

Imagine life up here in Wisconsin, BRUTAL!  But the beer's good.  Looking forward to Willie v. Bucky tomorrow night. Flying the purple freely here in hostile territory.   :kstatriot:

It's going to be Denis Clemente Court.

Would you need a passport to get on the court?  :dunno:

Come on!  Low PRIQ going on here, Puerto Rico is a part of the USA, no need for a passport.  Other Latin American (that's Mexican for you guys) countries, yep, you'd need a passport, 'cept for certain parts of Mexico, for some reason you can get in an out of certain places w/o pasaportes.  :dunno:

But does Denis have the cool million to rename the court yet?  Do we accept IOUs?

Wouldn't be surprised on the Oregon thing, but would rather it be Auburn or Tenn.

Would love it to be Auburn, then Cam refuse to give anything back.  Only hope that they all have their NC rings before it lands.  Keep it all Cam.

So what are the rumblings about Oregon?  It's pretty well-known what some of the scuttlebutt is about Auburn & Tennessee, but I'd like to know what's rumored with the ducks, TIA. (if they go on probation or death penalty, can we ease into their uniform deal?)
