So do we match up bad against them or what?  I really want to destroy the guy that said that to me with some HFIQ talking points.

I have no idea what that would be based on. We're better in every phase of the game than last year. They are worse on offense, probably about the same on defense. We had a chance to win at their place in the final minute. We ran for 276 yards and threw for 231. We were decent against their running game (73 total yards) last year; while I respect Lund, I don't see him throwing for 500 yards like Weeden did.

They may compete with us similar to Tech for a while, but I don't see this game being closer than 14 points.

:ksu: Whew! Thanks, _Fan! You're the best.

Count me in the 'slightly worried,' camp.  But I think we eek out a win to stay perfect heading into Morgantown.  A close win, with plenty to bitch about gives us all what we need to make a win possible vs. the 'Neers (BTW, it's been a while, are we still calling them 'couch burning aggies?' - tia).

goEMAW's Bosco love affair. Is there anything more tuckish?

Well, if it's "tuckish" to love the guy who personally convinced me to go to K-State, and who is also the guy who freed Curtis Kelly, then Tuck I am.

True THAT! ^^^ (we need a dancing Pat Bosco GIF emoticon, Mods?)

Pat Bosco (loves KSU more than life itself)
I love Pat Bosco so much.

Pat Bosco = Patron Saint of K-State (trust him implicitly to ALWAYS do the right thing for K-State)
Those who disagree with Pat Bosco = not in the right vis-a-vis what's best for K-State

denis calls frank a llama.  or asks him to call him.  I report, you decide.

In case there's any doubt.  He definitely wants Frank to call him.  :fatty:

WRs

Nelson
McDonald
Morgan
Lockett (K)
#5 is a toss up among a lot of guys:  Terry, Lockett (A), Banks, Figurs
(not sure if any on our current roster make this list someday, though I'm excited to see some of the new talent on this year's team)

LBs

Simoneau
Leber (don't know why he's so far down on many lists here - he's had a VERY solid pro career)
Spani (!)
Kelly
Pierce

Close cut:  Gaskins, Buhl

(I think Brown will be here someday)

RBs
Sproles
Thomas
Herron
Scobey
Cartwright

Honorable mentions:  Hixson, Lawrence, Smith (JJ), Murphy

I'd probably take grant gregory or carson coffman over freeman..

Let's not get carried away now!

Curious as to why Ell isn't getting more love on the QB list, I guess I'd go:

Bishop
Freeman
Beasley (he won a LOT of games)
Dickey (Grogan?  Never watched either play for the 'Cats)
Roberson
May

(not putting active duty QBs on the list, though I think Klein and possibly Sams make this list eventually - don't ask me who they'll displace)

I'd put Frank leaving this week as #5, otherwise a pretty spot-on list.  I wasn't alive at the time, but I've gotta think losing the NCAA champy game to Kentucky all those years ago was pretty tough too.  :dunno:

CF3 as a WyCo native & formerly poor one at that, I'm deeply hurt by your insinuation that I'm automatically a KU fan.  I'm as EMAW as it gets.

Agree that Kentucky is going to mop the floor w/the 'Hawks, but will do my duty to TSC it up as much as possible.  Maybe Self has a psychological advantage over Coach Cal, that'd be their only hope.

Where is this headhunter/search firm ADJC hired located? Are THEY in Dallas? I agree with Daris, pretty perplexing why Currie had to fly immediately to Dallas to get his wits about him. Were there Big XII meetings there that day?  :ck:

official?

http://www.nydailynews.com/blogs/weiss/2012/02/west-virginia-reaches-agreement-with-big-east-will-leave-for-big-12-this-year-0

Word out of Pittsburgh is that the Panthers may attempt to use West Virginia's blue print and file legal work so they can walk out the door they can compete in the ACC next season.

Would be GLORIOUS if Pitt & Syracuse now departed for next season.  All other Big East schools would be there for the taking.

I hope we get a Jesus, would make for great BBSing
Not too many kids named Jesus in PR.  If we want a Jesus, we have to go to Mexico (not a big BBall country though there are some kids here and there).

'grats on the promotion, Hayes!

Don't leave out Joe Bob, don't want to make the guy feel unwelcomed or anything.  :bawl:

mods please make kccat the official goEMAW interpretor.

Yes.  He did a great job.  I tried to Google Translate that crap and got back more  :dunno: than anything

 Aw, gee. T'wren't nuthin' (No hay de que, hermanos)

Isn't rutgers where Wally went?  could you imagine a Wally v cats game at OOD?

 This in the short term. And, Rutgers is a sleeping giant in many respects.  It is a new state, an East Coast anchor and a HUGE school.

(btw, I missed this thread so much, THANKS for reviving it!)

So Denis and Angel don't really like us :dunno:

They didn't say THAT, just that they both acknowledge that the experience is tough (they could be referring to practices, which I imagine are HELL, the 'stares' from don Francisco, both of those things, or any number of things).  I wouldn't take it personally.  Very 'brotherly' exchange.  And just think that K-State brought them together (or did they know each other down in Miami or in PR, I know Denis is from Bayamon - not sure what part of the island Angel is from).

345
Good little exchange going on between Denis & Angel (newer tweets on top):

danito @clemente_denis 19m
@RealRodriguez13 si me gusta no es malo se goza y me dejan jugar aqui so no me quejo y si ya veo, vistes como es (Yeah, I like it, it's not bad, it's fun, they let me play here so I can't complain, and yeah, I know, now you see how it is)

Angel Rodriguez @RealRodriguez13 41m
@clemente_denis y como carajo tu te comunicas con esa gente? Lmao (And how in the hell do you communicate with those people? lmao)

danito @clemente_denis 28m
@RealRodriguez13 Na trankilo ya tu sabes en el otro mundo pero na, cuentame!! (Nothin', chillin' you know, in another world, but hey, tell me, what's up?)

Angel Rodriguez @RealRodriguez13 24m
@clemente_denis te gusta por aya? Y ahi ahi. En la batalla tu sabes como es (You like it over there? Just alright over here.  Battling through, you know how it is.)

danito @clemente_denis 54m
@RealRodriguez13 dimelo bro (What's up bro?)

 Angel Rodriguez @RealRodriguez13 41m Reply
@clemente_denis q la q hay. Estas vivo? Haha (What's up? You alive? Ha ha)

Where IS Denis playing now?  Sounds like he's somewhere where he doesn't speak the language (not PR).  He was complaining about the cold weather, so it must be some place in Northern Europe?

CNS - good stuff.  I'm not saying it's impossible for the translation to be good.  Just that, based on my experience with computer-driven translators, I wouldn't count on it being good.  Perhaps with your skils and my skills there's a business opportunity there?  :fatty:

That Griner guy might be a load for us inside tonight
:horrorsurprise: I hadn't thought of that.  It's gonna be a tough game guys!

sys, if denis or any of our other players/former players say anything of value in spanish on twitter please translate in this thread.  tia.

Twitter needs a built in translator.

It'd have to be pretty sophisticated, not like the current translation software out there.  There's a  lot of 'texting' shorthand in Spanish on the Interwebs (e.g. que = "k" or "q").  I have a hunch that EVERYTHING Denis tweets will be well-worth the time & effort.

Sys, if you need a hand, let me know.
