While we were celebrating America's birthday by drinking, stuffing our faces with delicious BBQ and blowing stuff up, some smart scientist guys over in Europe announced the discovery of the elusive Higgs Boson particle.

What does it mean in the grand scheme of things?  Can we finally time travel?  Go to an alternate universe?  Accidentally destroy ourselves????  This is too much for me.

What the eff is up with this?  So, little Brockina Landers, whom I of course love and adore dearly, is "graduating" from 8th grade this year and her school as per usual is having some long elaborate ceremony complete with caps and gowns.  Even worse, many parents are throwing even more long and elaborate and probably expensive graduation parties that are entering Blingiest Sweet 16 territory.  Of course her terrible human being of a mother is throwing one of these stupid parties and has been sending me updates of stuff that I will need to do/contribute.  I think I will buy all the kids a really fancy blue ribbon, or maybe even some kind of trophy and of course the trophies will all be the same size because this is nothing more than a god damn participation event. 

Guess what, kids:  Passing 8th grade doesn't get you crap in my book.  You haven't graduated from jack crap yet.  It is not something to be celebrated or treated like some big accomplishment.  This is one of many little things that are slowly but surely killing America.   

Do you know what my school did when we graduated.....er, passed 8th grade?  They basically told us to clean out our lockers and GTFO.  Am I overreacting to this?  White Midwesterners thread?  Master Butthurt thread??    /rant

Pretty much one of the greatest foods ever, amirite?  Some people are probably even giving it up for Lent!

Can't go wrong with the boxed stuff



But the past few months I've been trying homemade.  Been using the old standby recipe where you combine equal parts butter and flour to make a roux, stir in some milk and throw in some shredded cheese or Velveeta to make the sauce, combine with elbow macaroni, throw in oven for 30 minutes.

It's pretty good, but it's not as creamy as I'd like it to be.  Is there a certain kind of cheese that's better to use than sharp cheddar or a different way to make the sauce?  There's gotta be some food snobs on here who can help out.

Last season I started referring to him as Career Day Cosh.  Not bad, nice use of alliteration....but it never caught on for some reason.  This season I have come up with a couple more.  How does Chris "School Record" Cosh sound?  Or even Chris "500" Cosh.  500 is not bad, a nice round number that is hard to forget.  Thoughts or suggestions??

To all dumbasses who don't use this feature, please merge your vehicle over to the Dumbass Only Lane.  Wait, there isn't one?  Then GTFO off the road.  I just passed you a couple of miles back, not sure why you're flying past me now...and then I'm passing you again a few miles later.  Pretty sure every vehicle made in the last 30 years or so has this feature, maybe your stupid ass should learn how to use it.

No this is not a repeat of the Coffee thread from a couple of weeks ago.  I'm talking about the machine you actually use on a daily basis to crank out delicious coffee in the morning.  My coffee maker died on me this morning so I'm in the market for a new one.  Does anyone have any good recommendos of a machine for home use?  Also I'm not going to spend $1000 on an espresso machine so don't bother with that.

It was the second part of the "200" episode, or the "Muhammad" episode or whatever you want to call it.  I wasn't able to catch it at 9 pm, so I waited for the 11 pm showing which is when they usually show that night's episode again.  Instead, they had a rerun of the Scrotie McBoogerballs episode.  I was kinda pissed.  So was there anything in the 9 pm episode that would have caused Comedy Central to pussy out and not show it again?
