We canned the coach of the century's ass and it was easy for him to move out given the lack of nattys to box up.  That's the standard we have at KSU, and if eff head can't produce nattys, he gotta go.

THE WORD.

Be sure to pick a Good Word; maybe One of The Best Words  ----  AssHat instantly comes to mind.
But, hey, what do I know? Since I began my coaching training in Oo-klee-Homer, 3 HOF HS Coaches in Arkansas, Western Tex-AZZ, and East New-Braska?

the guy who is scared to hold hands with another man loves Elton John. huh.

Nope, Bernie Taupin who writes Elton's songs. Although Oscar Wilde is one of my favorite writers.

Just because you like their music, writing doesn't mean you admire/respect them as humans.

Love the Doors but wouldn't piss on Jim Morrison if he was on fire.

Absolutely admire HOFHCBS's record and accomplishments, maybe the best college coach ever, but wouldn't have played for him. My favorite coaches to play for/work with were PLAYER's COACHES not Daddies

CB73 the extra steps you take when quoting someone...i'm both impressed but also highly confused. you are an enigma wrapped in a mystery.

That makes two of us confused. I'm having to use code now rather than getting all the links above.

Makes me wonder if I pissed someone off.

We canned bill’s ass.

After 27 years and the greatest turn around in College Football History.

Switzer once said that Snyder wasn’t the coach of the year, or even the coach of the decade — he was the coach of the century. What’s happening in Manhattan, Kan., is confirmation that Snyder needs to be considered not only one of the best college coaches of his generation, but one of the greatest college coaches of all-time.

is it realistic to expect chris klieman to win multiple natty's at ksu?

Since HOFHCBS never did, I suspect Nattys are out of reach.

Quit Camels in 1968. Never used Coke, did prefer Jim Beam though. Still do. Jackie Danial is comparable to pig poop. Football was way too important.

I still breakdown film 7-8 hours a week now that I am retired.
Still believe DabloW SwInney (Pronounced Swiney) is POS and is just as Trustworthy as Arthur Gustavo Malzahn III. Both need to be in prison. give me Miles, Saban, Klieman, Peterson, amd Rhule then take Leach, LittreLL, and Briles and set them on fire with a flame thrower.

Keep in mind that The Tiger and the Leopard needed to be out-guned by a factor of 5-6 to one by the Shermans which were POS.

Growing up, I had 5, F-I-V-E, younger sisters, I would have paid good money to be able to do that.

The one time I saw Mangino in Lawrence, my one thought was I'd shoot myself if I was that rotund. His paramour wasn't too spiffy either.
Eff him and the Sooner wagon he rode in on.

Anywhere

Yep, anywhere. I'd get tickets from my former HS players at KSU and I'd sit anywhere I wanted. Mostly on the 50 yd line in the 2nd row. Even when I brought guests with me,

So, back to recruiting.  What news is out there?  I saw via Twitter:

Left tackles are made, not born. Yeah, they have to have the physical skills but Left tackles has to be ramped up because that is the Most important OL position. Protecting the QBs blind side.

So, the 8-man-football committee had 8 men on it? Seems a bit too on-the-nose.

Every group has to start some place.  State of Kansas was just ignoring us. It takes balls to punch State of Kansas Activities Ass. in the nose, repeatedly. Took a few years but Kansas Activities Ass. finally recognized us. It didn't hurt that by that time I was HC in 3-4A  position and had all those in my Conference, and several others pushing.

Kind of like how Chris Klieman got on the National Board and helped FCS. Sometimes it's not what you know, but who you know.

Sorry seems to be the hardest word.

It's sad, so sad
It's a sad, sad situation.
And it's getting more and more absurd.
It's sad, so sad
Why can't we talk it over?
Oh it seems to me
That sorry seems to be the hardest word.

JMO but I think you're taking more credit than you deserve if you were just a secretary.

Perhaps you're correct since all I did was write the letters and keep the notes of meetings when the original 8 of us met.

My bad. :dunno:

Although I did spend a year coaching 8 man when I moved back to Ks. 1st Secretary of 8 man football Association. Helped create the 8 man state playoffs.

Was this modified 5-3 like 3-3 stack with inverted safeties?

Actually, looked like 5-2-1. Made the Mike LB look more like a nickleback which made QB read the defense wrong. Would sometimes move him up into blitz position which would cause QB to misread, Would also bring CB or OLB into blitz position but mostly they didn't blitz which would stop wheel/flair route.

Ultimate  chess match.

How was your mlb able to discern these less than an inch hand placement variations?

Hips give away where the down hand is. Hips and spine have to go where body is pointed.

Why did you move the MLB away from the key?

To make it easier for OLB, CB, and DE to carry out their assignments, and hopefully allow the MLB to clean up. Trouble was that OLB, CB and DE were able to stuff the left TB more often than not. MLB wanted more tackles, but then MLB Always wants more tackles; part of the reason they're MLB.

Veer set is a halfback on the inside shoulder of the tackle about 3-4 yards deep. left HB on inside shoulder of LT and RH on inside shoulder of RT. QB under center or in shotgun.

QB's 1st read is DE to the side play is going.
If DE crashes inside then pull ball and and QB reads OLB/CB and decides to cut up inside or pitch to offside TB trailing.

You can run the same thing in the Diamond set NDSU ran under Messingham but then you have several more options with the Diamond back. Almost like Full House T or Single Wing. This puts the outside contain man on an island and either the OLB or Corner has to commit which opens up swing pass or wheel route.
