nope.who they looking at?
Our new coach is marquise tuiasosopo’s uncle and a pipeline to massive Polynesian DT’s and you assholes wanna talk about White Russians...sad.if he was a big deal he wouldn't have been coaching at UTEP
on the flip side ksu always has trouble filling their DL with talent especially at the DT position. IF u went to 3/4 instead of having difficulty recruiting 2 inside positions they would only have difficulty recruiting 1 inside position.Lol at the idea that you need good players to run a 3-4 but not a 4-3. Regardless, this is 2018, you are probably only running 25% of your plays with <5 DBs on the field.
Clearly I am not saying that you don’t need talent to run a different scheme or that one scheme is superior to another or that coaches aren’t smart. I am however suggesting that the type of talent needed to run schemes is different and the number of massive nose tackles that can occupy multiple OL and the number of massive DEs that can run like a deer are limited (a problem in college not in the NFL). It has been my observation that NFL guys that come down to college sometimes struggle to match their playbook with their talent and recruiting base as that typically isn’t an issue in the NFL with limited teams, salary caps, draft, etc.
Like I said, I really like the hire and the staff that Kly has built. I am looking my forward to the Spring Game (long time since I said that).
I just watched 8 minutes of Jax Dineen videos and holy crap am I excited. He's a human wrecking ball that plays angry and looks like he plays dirty toodon't forget who dineen is playing against. Very few D1 players
Also we should all be praying to tiny little baby jesus that the coaches somehow land La'Vontae Shenault in the late signing period. Between him, garber, and chabastin might have something that resembles a big 12 wr corp next year.
uh, they are not beating Boston College on the road.......they will find a way to keep Pooka eligible but without him they would be in serious trouble. they graduated a lot.
I was all excited until I saw a graphic showing that Indiana (sucks @FB) has 3 4-stars and is ranked 10th in the big 10. How many 4-5 stars does K-State have?oh don't go looking at other league's recruiting classes. it will just make you sick.
why did literally no one else see that in Poitier? and even we didn't bother offering until the night before signing day. i don't think weight is the only excuse because there are 100s of OLs offered each year who need to put on lots of weightwhat's up y'all. Here to talk 'cruitin.
William Jones is super fast. As in he's run a faster 200 meters than any Kansas high school boy in the last 40 years. A 21.18 legit 200. Crazy speed. He also sports a 40-plus vertical. His game highlights pause and insert the word "stylin'" before or after he makes a play.
Keenan Garber is big time. A legit athlete. He will be salty in the open field. He's got better 40 yard, broad jump, and vertical numbers than a lot of receivers at the NFL combine. And he can break on a dime.
That video of Taylor Poitier is special. What's not is his bulk. But if he gets to the 290-300 range he could be a beast. Mean, nasty and moves extremely well. Exceptional feet.
Hatter, you need to tell me what to think about this class overall. Should I be pleased that we "salvaged" it, exited about an HC that travels to recruit, etc, what? Just tell me.
i am choosing to not melt down over Jeudy, the head coach he committed to is gone (who could have seen that coming?) and his recruiter (hickson) is apparently gone too.agreed. not only that but based on his ranking and lack of big time offers he should be fairly easily replaced if we have halfway competent recruiters.
I reckon we need approximately 3 African American d-line coaches and then we would be set with recruitersI'm good with that. sounds perfect.
the elite kids like the championship trophy story better than the playing time story. OU also does a great job of having some of their NFL players around on visit weekends to impress the recruits. So we literally need to be handing out bags of cash to this guy: Rhamondre Stevensonrhamondre is visiting OU this weekend. as soon as OU offered our coaches probably gave up recruiting him
Still uncommitted top juco back.

despite the fact OU has 3 elite RBs and all are underclassmen i expect Riley and gang to somehow convince him to sign there
we really need to hire some coaches who have connections
If he can’t sell a juco RB on a roster without a scholarship running back it’s going to be a long 6 years.

Will be a win if we land at least one recruit with more than 1 P5 offer.we're up to our usual tricks. trying to flip Tulane commits
Need to keep the guys we have committed and flip the RB from Butler.
O/U on the number of new recruits we land this weekend?recruits with 0 FBS offers or recruits with 1 other FBS offer?
well i don't think we should overpay kleiman just so we don't look cheap. if we're worried about financial appearances than allow him to go out and BUY a couple of the best assistants that money can buy and show everyone that we are willing to spend money to win. don't waste it when you don't need toif you pay CK “only” $1.5m, he’s constantly getting asked about it for the next 6 months, and K-State gets the reputation for being cheap going into searching for staff interviews and replacing folks down the road.
Our new head coach was taken from the lower division and is the lowest paid in the conference and isn't even making twice what our retired coach is. I think prospective KSU football employees have a pretty good idea how we roll.
A few non-NDSU / non-Wyoming names to follow:i don't know much about norwood but he certainly doesn't seem to be moving the needle at all in recruiting. playing in the b12 we need top flight DBs and i haven't seen anything to make me believe Norwood is capable of attracting top DBs. He's just more of the same.
Kenni Burns- RB coach at Minnesota, coached receivers for NDSU 2010-2013, https://gophersports.com/coaches.aspx?rc=144&path=football

I am sure there are many more, Kly has been around for some time and has had good coaches leave. That said, I wouldn't be surprised if Kly kept Klein, Seiler and Norwood and mixed in 4(ish) of his current coaches as his first announcements.
people are just lazy. they hear stuff other people say and just go with it if they don't know any different. that line of thinking is also perpetuated by the fact that ksu really doesn't get any high profile recruits to visit and the few they do get to visit sign elsewhere. so i don't think the reason we recruit shitty is necessarily the location. thats the excuse given. but we definitely recruit shitty. i tend to think we just don't have a coaching staff that attracts top recruits. So we are going in on Nebraska commits now.not sure why. this kid has been committed to neb since june. he is actively recruiting others to neb. his family has already bought all their gear. this seems like a complete waste of time. wondering if there some other strategic reason for throwing this offer out. maybe for future reasons? not sure

but this kid looks as solid on his commit as solid could possibly be
It's just an offer. I know we're not used to it but programs like ours offer everybody. Matt Campbell gives out like 600 a year, that's not an exaggeration. It's hire they got Brock Purdy, they offer everyone. Dumbass, Tom Herman, in the all-time record for beefing down, whined at a press conference about how many offers Iowa State gives.
Side note, but I got into a protracted conversation in a comment thread in a K-State article. The commenter was talking about how it is hard for K-State to even get recruits to visit campus. I essentially asked him how in the hell he could know how hard it is to recruit to Manhattan given Snyder's philosophy was just to not recruit in season. The guy couldn't wrap his head around what I was saying, he thought I was lying. People actually think it's harder to get kids to Manhattan as opposed to Ames, Stillwater, Morgantown, Pullman, Oxford, Starkville, etc. They literally don't know that Bill hardly offered any scholarships at all. It was eye opening for me that people actually think Manhattan is in Slovakia or some crap.
