Why is he in a coat in August?

I think that picture is from when he threw out the first pitch here in town.

Austin just committed to Baylor, on pre-game of Adidas Nations final being shown on CSTV.

Cited academics(?) and ability to have his parents watch most of his games.

It's probably not the easiest thing to find a true big that can run and keep up with the style of ball Frank likes.  From the scouting reports it looks like Diaz probably fits the bill in that regard so it's hard for me to be upset about this.  Some video would be nice though, I tried to find some with no luck.

His neck does remind me of J-Ben though  :runaway:

Just put down two deposits for me and the lady for Wiz tix next year. I'm sure it'll bankrupt me.

I got close.  I called the ticket office but there were still too many unknowns for me to do the deposit.  First of all they couldn't tell me the prices yet, and secondly they don't know if they will be able to set up the schedule so all the games at the start of the year will be away so most of the home games will be at the new stadium.

I will undoubtedly be very jealous of your seats though and once they answer those questions, I may put down a couple deposits myself.

Maybe we could get a Katpak carpool up to some games next year?

I am now cautiously optimistic in a defensive crouch as opposed to sadly curled in a fetal position.

You mean like those guys on his wonderful sweater?

Rev Gill: Hey Jason, When you gonna drop Magnum on us?

Brother Jason: Not yet. You gotta tame the beast before you let it out of its cage.

Ask him if he's been approached to come back as a 3-point shooting coach.

Kansas City beats Man U 2-1 & KC was down a man most of the game. :pbj:

USA USA USA!!!
JFC  :kstatriot: <---- but  american flag

There was an amazing USA chant right before the game was over.  Felt pretty good.

sat in the field level box in the endzone where the chiefs scored both their touchdowns.  had a great time  :pbj:

I was down on that end too, we definitely got lucky with the 2 KC goals coming there and then all of the Man U attacks coming late in the second half.

I had a great time and it got me even more excited about the stadium opening next year.  I have to admit I almost felt bad for the MU fans.  I was on their forum before the match reading about the people flying in from all over the country.  Must have been disappointing to only see a penalty kick hit the back of the net for them.

Here's highlights:

Kansas State Football / Re: Jerseys next season
« on: July 24, 2010, 01:02:48 AM »
I would pay a stupid amount of money for that jersey.
This

Speaking of that, does Nike offer any option to buy a jersey with sewn on letters/numbers?

Nike sells 3 different jerseys. Replicas, Sewn jerseys, and Authentic jerseys. Replica's are all screen-printed. Sewn have tackle and twill numbers and logos. Authentic jerseys are the actual on-field jersey that a team would wear, with a minor change - the number on the back is moved slightly higher than on an actual jersey to prevent you from getting the players real name on the back.

The true Authentic jerseys I have only seen made for a few schools - Oregon, Florida, Ohio State, etc....
I would expect Nike to offer our new jerseys in the Replica form and Sewn form, as most new jerseys are sold this way.

Good info, thanks.  I will try to keep an eye out for the sewn form.

Mods, rename this thread to "Big shots big timing us about their big time seats," TIA.

I should have prefaced this by saying I'm in section 4.  Sometimes the people from 5,6, and 7 get pissed that the poor people in section 4 and 8 are allowed to sit that close to them.  Last year multiple people walked by, spit on us, and yelled, "GO BACK TO JUNCTION CITY STREET RATS."  When I go to the water fountains I have to use the ones marked, "Not In The Middle Sections"

Hopefully I can join their club someday.  Come on upgrade request  :crossfingers:

I can't remember how much they were last year.

by my 'records': $390

Damn, didn't that postcard they sent out say it was only going up be 8% or something?  I guess if you count in the donation it might be near that.

Still well worth it obviously, but that's a decent jump up.

So how much did tickets actually go up?   :dunno:

My chairbacks were $495 a piece to renew but I can't remember how much they were last year.

Parking pass was $85 and I think it was $75 last year.

« on: July 18, 2010, 02:05:34 AM »
I had to go to a replacement barber while mine was out of town a couple weeks ago.  Dude gave me the most awkward shoulder and neck rub imaginable.  You could tell that neither one of us was enjoying it, especially since we were all alone in the barbershop at the time.
  :embarrassed: :dunno:

Where the hell did a guy give you a neck and shoulder rub?  Did you ask for it, or did he just start doing it?

Hmm, that's disappointing.  Maybe this can be rectified at UCLAPak.

I'll be having a pretty big UCLAPak at my house with a bunch of people that have no idea what a Pak is, so if anybody is in the neighborhood feel free to stop by the driveway.

When did it happen?  I've spilled stuff on my keyboard before, it didn't work for a while until it dried for a couple days then it went back to normal.
