Kansas State Football / Fight or Bend the Knee?
« on: November 22, 2015, 08:28:40 AM »
Quick question for the college footballers. Paul Rhodes mentioned that he was just following a chart that tells when to kneel and punt versus run for first down.

Is that real and how's it work? It would seem to be a seriously complicated chart when considering all the variables like time remaining, to's remaining, lead, and field position that would come into play.

And even then, wouldn't you have to update the chart weekly based on opponent's return game, your punter, return coverage, tendency to fumble, etc.? I guess I could see Snyder making some lowly assistant do that but wow.

Did you guys hear there were elections yesterday? And pretty much every liberal politician and ballot measure got clobbered. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/powerpost/wp/2015/11/04/the-daily-202-from-coast-to-coast-conservatives-score-huge-victories-in-off-year-elections/

Why do liberal politicians and causes perform so badly except for presidential years? Discuss.

Other Sports (Tiger's Back) / Gems Thread - World Series Game 4
« on: October 31, 2015, 11:26:57 PM »
Ok, enough with that metsparadise crap. I didn't know the Mets had a big Mormon fanbase, but that's their board.

Tonight we're mining www.metsrefugees.com. No game thread. Boo. But a lot of other fun reads.

Let's start with most annoying thing about KC:

Quote
they put every ball in play with runners on yet seemingly never get close to hitting into a DP. always hit the ball soft enough. eff everything.

I'd feel sorry for them, but the Mets finally gave me a reason to hate them yesterday after that Swede terrorist threw for Escobar's face on pitch 1. eff you, Mets.

Quote
Probably only the 10th most annoying thing about them

Quote
they rough ridin' hit every ball just weakly enough and not at the SS or 2B.

Quote
Our SS and 2b have the combined range of a fire hydrant.

Ok, on we go to i want to die:

 Never mind, don't go in that thread. They're in a dark, dark place right now.

Alright, how about someone talk me off the ledge:

Worst sporting event I've ever watched. I don't even known how I can watch this team next year, every time I see Terry Collins I'll be sick to my stomach.

It's brutal but I'm already numb. I'm watching dr. Katz episodes on YouTube.

dumb eff this is my life.

So done.

Can't even eff tonight just jerked off a flaccid dick

And on that gross note, I'll hand off the baton.

The New Joe Montgomery Birther Pit / Marco Rubio Master Thread
« on: October 29, 2015, 03:59:21 PM »
It's becoming increasingly clear that Marco Rubio is the strongest candidate in the GOP field, and could easily win the presidency if GOP voters have the good sense to nominate him and turn out to vote for him in the general.

I figured it's time for a master thread to post positive and negative things about Marco Rubio.

I'll start with a positive. Marco Rubio clearly and concisely explains how Hillary lied about the cause the Benghazi attack, much to (MSM Clinton Super-PAC member) Charlie Rose's astonishment and dismay.

http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/426309/marco-rubio-charlie-rose-hillary-benghazi-lies-video

The video is priceless. Just look at the way Charlie smugly lectures him "you called Hillary Clinton a liar, Senator." Well, yeah, and here's why...

Quote
MARCO RUBIO: I've never personally attacked anybody in this race and I'm not going to start now. If other people decide they want to change who they are--

CHARLIE ROSE: Well, well, you called Hillary Clinton a liar, senator. You called Hillary Clinton a liar.

RUBIO: Well, no. I said Hillary Clinton lied about Benghazi. There is no doubt about that, Charlie. I mean, there are e-mails in which she was talking to her family and she was telling them that there was an attack on that consulate that was due to a terrorist attack by Al Qaeda elements and then she was going around the country talking to the families of the victims, and to the American people and saying, no, no. This is because of some video that someone produced.

ROSE: Senator, you know -- you know that --

RUBIO: She absolutely lied about it.

ROSE: The CIA was changing its own assessment of what happened there during that time zone.

RUBIO: That's not -- that's not accurate. It was clear from the very early moments after that attack that it was not a spontaneous uprising. It was a planned attack. Well orchestrated by people that brought armaments to that attack that you would never see as part of a spontaneous up rising. What was very clear is that from the very early moments of that attack, she knew that it was a terrorist attack as she shared by e-mail with various people. And yet she continued to perpetuate the lie.

ROSE: If you're calling her a liar by saying she perpetuated a lie, then why do you think she did that? What was her motive?  :dunno:

RUBIO: Well, that’s very clear why. Because they were in the middle of a 2012 re-election in which President Obama had made the claim that Al Qaeda was being defeated and --

ROSE: So, you’re saying that Hillary Clinton lied -- you were saying, senator, that Hillary Clinton lied because she wanted to help Barack Obama in his re-election campaign? That's a serious charge. [It's the truth, dumbshit - you know, that thing journalism is supposed to be about.]

RUBIO: Yes. Is that -- well, it's the truth. I mean, that is not only why she did it, that’s why everyone in the administration did it. The narrative of their campaign at the time, Charlie, was that Al Qaeda was on the run and had been defeated. That was their narrative and this countered that narrative. They didn't want that out there and that’s why they didn't tell the truth of what truly happened and the families of those victims deserve better.

ROSE: But are you denying that the CIA was sending different information as they assessed it and providing different information to the leaders of our government? And that was part of the reason that they made different assessments.

RUBIO: Let me tell you Charlie, without violating any --

ROSE: Because David Petraeus and others have said that.

RUBIO: I don't want to violate anything that’s confidential and that’s classified but I'll tell you this. It was clear from the earliest moments after that attack that everyone on the ground and everyone closest to that attack knew, almost instantly, that this was an organized effort, not part of a spontaneous uprising and there was never, ever any evidence that it had anything to do with a video that was produced by some guy out in California. And for them to further that narrative and continue to do so well after it had become clear that that wasn't the case, it was unacceptable. The American people deserve better. And the families of those victims in Benghazi deserve better.

Charlie Rose is either a hopeless shill or ignorant. E-mails have been released which prove that the White House crafted the narrative to point to an internet video for political reasons. The goal was "To ?underscore that these protests are rooted in an Internet video, and not a broader failure or policy.” Hillary participated in this lie, knowing full well from pretty much the first moment of the attack that it was terrorism - not a spontaneous uprising in response to a stupid video. https://sharylattkisson.com/white-house-directed-incorrect-benghazi-narrative-newly-released-emails-video-to-blame-not-a-broader-failure-or-policy/

I have honestly never seen so many ground ball base hits like KC has lucked their way into this post season.

Yeah I think the Mets are done. Their offense is not as good as the Royals. Basically it all comes down to their starters now. Every start has to be 7+ innings of 1-3 ER max to stand a chance against these guys.

Ironically, I think the only team that could've stopped them is the Jays

The Astros got a LOT closer.

Quote
32 2-strike pitches against the Royals tonight and not a single swing and miss haha.

Amazing stat if true.

Alright, stay tuned for that crappy Mets board. No promises...

The way these announcers are already calling the game, it's like we are losing an elimination game by 10 runs.

1. Why give Escobar a hittable pitch on the first one?

2. Why did Ces take such a terrible route to the ball?

3. Will our defense kill us?

(1) Don't know, (2) Don't care, (3) Yes.

Quote
Harvey should bounce one next time to Escobar. He'll swing anyway.

Would be awesome.

Do the announcers realize that there are TWO teams playing?

Grandy!!!!!

1-2.

But, but, but the park is just too big to homer in....

Don't get cocky, kid.

We need runs off Volquez because that Royals bullpen is lights out, aside from Madson.

Just my two cents, but I think a loss here is more devastating to Royals than Mets. Royals burned Game 4 starters. DeGrom tomorrow.

Well it's a good thing...

This was a winnable game that we let slip away.

Now, game two is a must.

...we WON!!

The New Joe Montgomery Birther Pit / They're so "clean" and "articulate!"
« on: October 07, 2015, 09:44:41 AM »
ITT we discuss funny/sad examples of liberals' soft (and sometimes not so soft) bigotry of low expectations.

I'll start with this delightful gem: http://theweek.com/speedreads/581779/prison-debate-team-victorious-over-harvard-champs After the loss, the Harvaaaaard intellectuals were so gracious, remarking:

Quote
The inmates have defeated teams from West Point and the University of Vermont, and the Harvard team appears happy to join their ranks, posting on Facebook: "There are few teams we are prouder of having lost a debate to than the phenomenally intelligent and articulate team we faced this weekend."

They're, like, so intelligent and articulate! You just wouldn't believe it! We're so proud of them!

63
So are liberals, and in this case, the liberals clearly won. Three examples:

1. They have successfully pinned the blame for any "shutdown" squarely on the Republican Congress, contrary to all reason. If the Congress passed a bill completely funding the government except for $500 million to PP, and Obama vetoed that bill because he insists on funding PP, who is really more responsible for the "shutdown"? Obama, right? The GOP passed a bill funding all other areas of government, but Obama vetoed all that unrelated funding because he didn't get $500 million for the baby butchers. The GOP is so terrified of being blamed that they didn't even try it.

2. They have successfully introduced "shutdown" into the political vernacular - even amongst the GOP! - when, in fact, a "shutdown" doesn't actually shut down much of anything at all.

3. They have also successfully pushed the "clean bill" term for full funding - again, even the GOP now uses the term. Who doesn't like to be clean? A bill that funds everything except PP isn't "clean."

Granted, liberals have been aided tremendously by their accomplices in the MSM, but you still have to admire their messaging wizardry. George Orwell would be proud.

it's funny because you believe what you wrote.

this is too much right here

Discuss.

It has been revelaed that the newly elected president of an NAACP chapter is actually a white. Outrage ensues, prompting an official investigation. http://www.kxly.com/news/spokane-news/did-naacp-president-lie-about-her-race-city-investigates/33533026

Quote
SPOKANE, Wash. -
The City of Spokane announced Thursday it's investigating whether the president of the Spokane chapter of the NAACP violated the city's code of ethics in her application to serve on the citizen police ombudsman commission.

Rachel Dolezal serves as chair of the independent commission, in addition to her work as an adjunct faculty member at Eastern Washington University and president of the NAACP local chapter. On her application to serve on the commission, she identified herself as African-American. But public records, including Dolezal's own birth certificate, list her biological parents as Ruthanne and Lawrence Dolezal of Montana. The Dolezals told KXLY Thursday that Rachel is their biological daughter and that they are both white.

"We are committed to independent citizen oversight and take very seriously the concerns raised regarding the chair of the independent citizen police ombudsman commission," Mayor David Condon and City Council President Ben Stuckart said it a joint statement Thursday. "We are gathering facts to determine if any city policies related to volunteer boards and commissions have been violated. That information will be reviewed by the City Council, which has oversight of city boards and commissions."

On the NAACP Spokane Facebook page, a picture was posted earlier this year showing Dolezal and an African-American man. In the post, he's identified as Dolezal's father. KXLY4's Jeff Humphrey asked Dolezal about that claim Wednesday afternoon.

"Ma'am, I was wondering if your dad really is an African-American man," Humphrey asked.

"I don't understand the question," Dolezal answered. "I did tell you [that man in the picture] is my dad."
"Are your parents white?" Humphrey asked. At that point, Dolezal removed the microphone, ended the interview and walked away.

KXLY4 was interviewing Dolezal Wednesday about several hate crimes she's reported over the last several years. Most recently, Dolezal said she received a packet of hateful letters and pictures at the NAACP post office box in North Spokane. That crime led to rallies of support outside Spokane City Hall.

Police are still investigating, but say in reports that whoever placed the mail must have had access to the box, as it was not processed through the regular mail. Dolezal denied any implication that she was responsible.

Dolezal says she's been the victim of eight documented hate crimes in Idaho; a public records request filed by KXLY yielded just three reports. Each was closed by police because of insufficient evidence to prosecute.

Btw, I struggled coming up with a good thread title for this one. I'll entertain other suggestions.

Interesting story about how ABC News totally mumped over the Washington Free Beacon, who discovered and was about to break the news of partisan hack and ABC News "Anchor" George Stephanopolologis's $75,000 donation to the Clinton Foundation - which he did not disclose when interviewing the author of Clinton Cash about the Foundation.

Upon discovering the donation, the Beacon reached out to ABC News for comment and verification before running the story. Instead - ABC leaked the scoop to Politico. What a bag of dicks. Journalists rough ridin' over other journalists.

Quote
CHARLES KRAUTHAMMER: Well, I mean, Ray LaHood the former Transportation Secretary under Obama blamed it on crumbling infrastructure and of course we need more money. You know, how stupid do they think we are? This is a train going 102 miles per hour in a 50 mile zone. This is no crumbled problem. This is a speeding problem. This isn't an infrastructure problem. This is a personnel problem. But the knee jerk reflexive reaction of any Democrat of anything that happens in the country is throw more money at it.

You get the riots in Baltimore, reflexive answer is throw more money at the schools. You know Baltimore has a second highest spending of any urban area in America on schools and they're a disaster. You get hurricanes and tornadoes. When's the Democratic answer? Oh, that's global warming. Climate change. You need more windmills.

They have a single answer to everything. Raise your taxes, spend the money and the other thing that's really quite remarkable about this, only six years ago, not 100 years ago that the Democrats passed the largest infrastructure spending bill in the history of the galaxy. Even the Klingons never spent $380 billion on infrastructure to rebuild America. Remember the roads, the ports? The airports, the bridges. Where did that money go? But they're always at the trough again for more money for infrastructure. It shows a brain dead liberalism with no other answer to every other question.

Yup, that about sums it up.
