According to 247, Phillip Brooks (who has a gray shirt offer from us) runs a 4.30 40.
https://247sports.com/Player/Phillip-Brooks-46052276

Any guesses on what he actually runs?

That kid is deceptively fast, great vision, and solid hands for a running back based on the video. Reminds me of a Warmack type, he made the other teams look pretty silly with some simple cuts. 4.30 40, I'm not sure but he's definitely got speed, I'm surprised he doesn't have more offers.

I coached Phillip in both basketball and football in middle school - at that time, he was the quickest, most explosive athlete I had ever seen as an 8th grader.  I work with several of his coaches in high school and they confirmed that his time was legit.  I can only imagine he is not getting other offers simply because of his size.  He'd look damn good as a returner on our special teams units at the very least.

What would you say his actual size is? 5'9" 175 is small, but we've had success with Banks, Thompson, A. Lockett.

By the way, apparently his grey shirt offer never existed. He has a PWO offer.

Glenn Williams, Alec Ruth and Bryce Fitzner are all leaving with eligibility left. Wouldn't be sophomores so I'm not sure who the article is talking about.

Total scholarships will depend on if Heath and Warmack are really transferring

Jacoby Simpson chooses TCU. Not a surprise, but he was a k-state lean a while back.

pringle got invited to the combine so thats nice. streak will live on

Still wouldn't count on him getting drafted. Reed will keep it alive though.
what? a lot of people liked his game at the senior bowl, hell mayock had him as a 3rd round pick

I'm not saying he will definitely not get drafted, but once the scouts watch real game tape of him and see all his drops or the games he just disappears they might cool off on him. I hope he does get drafted I just wouldn't count on it based on a few days of senior bowl practice.

If you were banned from the Salute page have you tried "The K-State Family"? They may be even worse.
Then there is "Wildcat unfiltered" where everyone who was been banned from the other two groups has gathered.

Kansas State Football / Re: Who should the new OC be?
« on: January 26, 2018, 02:48:29 PM »
Base salaries for next year
Andre Coleman $440,000
Charlie Dickey $480,000
Collin Klein $300,000

Somewhat interesting to me that Coleman seems to be the main OC but is still getting paid less. I don't pay much attention to assistant coaches salaries so maybe this is normal for an experience gap like this.

Hard to get excited about this guy after the Carlos Strickland failure

What happened to him?

After all that hype he left the team. One career catch.

Come on with Andy Ludwig and Rex Ryan, they don't count man. I don't know who Charlie Coe, Doug Grush, and Scotty Ohara are, are they from Iowa? When did Tim Beck and Carl Pelini work for Bill?

Yeah Ludwig and Ryan don't really count, but they were here for a bit.
Charlie Coe played at K-State in the 70's. Coached for Snyder in 1989
Doug Grush played at K-State in the eary 90's and was a GA after that
Scotty Ohara went with Dana to UTEP. He had been a quality control guy here and with Jerry Kill at Rutgers. Not sure if he really counts.

Does pringle have a legit shot at getting drafted? I find it hard to believe.

Probably not. But he's better than Taco Wallace, and he got drafted in the 7th.

wonder if before or after the Snyder returning news

I wonder if the players know who the OC will be. Maybe he was hoping it would be Coleman.
