Is it just me or does he look kinda slow?

Its just you. For his size he can move. And has a very good arm
he's slow, but happy to have him.

Lol. Okay then. Best wishes in asking future questions you have already determined the answer to

Rudzik is linebacker at full throttle.  Dad pittstate all American middle lb. grandpa Dallas cowboy

Bank it
He should play and start but the staff will probably make him "earn it" by waiting till he's an upper classman.

 Yeah , no. Lol

I can tolerate 11am games, prefer mid-afternoon games. But hate attending evening games, well i should say i hate everything AFTER an evening game. The traffic, feeling exhausted and getting home really late all suck. Yes im 190 years oldish

On one of Twitter college football stat accounts, they had him the highest rated Big 12 Center. :frown:

What's honestly crazy about that is he only played the spot for exactly one year and already drew such high accolades. Pretty big testament to Dickey's work in insisting all of the O-line basically be able to play all spots along the line.

Oddly enough they were in this same situation almost the same time of year last year because two Juco signings weren't up to speed yet. So they moved Risner and inserted Navjar. It had its growing pains early but holy cow they molded that unit into a machine pretty darn quickly.

Its a blow, but sure does seem like they generally manage to find guys to step up rather quickly and well

I mean, we have tried the Matt Butler type thing at LB before and it's just a disaster.  Take a fast dude who is kinda not nice and make him be a linebacker.

I mean yeah, like totally yeah. Wait.....am i talking to myself on a message board?

Concussion concerns

33
WGAF if our LBs suck complete crap. We're going to score 80 a game.

True true. Thus endeth the debate

34
Well both sizelove/sullivan were graded pretty darn high at their position class ( top 30's) , but again this is really boiling down to a subjective argument, you really have no evidence as of right now to support your statememts that our LB unit will be sub-par. Ill give it a few games before im gonna start judging the unit. Ya know, using tangible facts. Not crappy knee jerk whiny opinions

If Green and Walker didn't qualify/stay, then that leaves us with zero freshman linebackers.

It's not a huge problem; we'll fill in the gaps in their class in a couple of years with JUCO guys if need be, but that's disappointing.

the ish i heard on walker from my guy was "he was asked to leave." not sure if true.

I mean it's not a really big deal.  Some SR walk-on will get a scholarship for his last year now.

The 2018 class is really, really small due to the small number of seniors, so a little attrition isn't a negative considering our recruiting hasn't sucked the last couple of years.

Consistently under recruiting and failing to fill a position of need has worked out well for us in the past. So yeah no big deal if you want a LB group manned by a bunch of Will Davis type players.

Wtf are you going on about? You do realize our two most recent starting LB's not only had big 12 honors but both are on NFL rosters,  right? But yeah, you're right, our staff is really dropping the ball getting big 12 talent lbs on our roster. That's a red hot burning take you got there

And who is stepping in to fill their shoes? Our LB group has zero experience and sketchy depth. This is like having Hubenor be our starting qb or stonehands Burton our #1 WR. It doesn't work out well for us. They missed those positions and it killed us.

Yes inexperienced and unknown, because they were playing behind future pros. I'd be far more concerned if our recently departed LB's were run of the mill.very average players that none of our other lb's on the roster could beat out, but thats not the case, is it?

So yes, there is an unknown from an experience on gameday standpoint. But nothing has been proven otherwise either way, saying the coaching staff has failed to adequately manage that roster depth at this point is pretty dumb because you literally dont know how good or not good the current lbs will be. Just as dumb as another fan harping about the Huebener year, i mean, How DARE the coaches not adequately recruit complete STUDS  who could start for any big 12 school to be our 4th string QB! Such failure!

I dont get it. Why do that now when you supposedly have renditions on the way for complete renos? So its just temporary lipstick then. Or is that a permanent eyesore they are gonna keep?

Anyone remember the 4* linebacker we snagged from Auburn(?) on signing day a couple years ago? Is he ever going to see the field?

Elijah Sullivan? Still on team as far as i know. I bet he sees some time early on while LB situation settles out. But no idea where he is in  pecking order among Kirby, Sizelove,Hughes,Patton.

Is that signage real? It can't be. I'll temper my laughter. Lord knows we beat the 'we own texas' drum to death and barf out  plentu of merchandise about it

Rudzik? But I'm hoping Green would only be 1 year placement. But hanging onto him through Juco is always dicey

Talked to a KC buddy in the construction biz, his firm does a lot of large projects and he's on the biz development side charged with keeping up with upcoming projects, liaisoning with architectural firms, suppliers, facilities, and planning staff at government agencies and larger businesses etc. etc.

He said he'd be surprised if rendos hit before Oct. or November for our long awaited renovation of beloved Memorial Stadium.

sounds like a butthurt grape that can't accept the fact that k-state will suck after snyder dies and ku is a rising program under great coach Beattie

He's actually seeing dollar signs (depending on how they bid it, which will be dictated in how they finance it, and they will need financing if the private contributions are paid out over years).

Financing as in bonding? Or borrowing against their endowment? Can they even do that?

Just curious. Will be astonished if they get tax money for it considering they got shot down trying to get bonding for the Rape Tower they built for their athletes.

If KU goes into even more unmanageable debt from this. More power to them! Lol

honest Q: would you even be able to enjoy a national championship in USA's largest sport if your team was a bunch of poindexters?

Not trying to be a downer, but the 2017 team is not going to be better than the 2012 team.

And the 2012 team wasnt remotely close to being as good as our 2002 or 2003 teams. So what?

But i personally think yes, this offense has potential to be better than 2012. So there's that

Yeah i didn't really mean that the 2012 team was unlikeable or had a undesirable attitude, theirs obviously served them well. It was just an observation that the 2012 team was all business like and buttoned up. Just feel like this team has a lot more fire in their attitudes and PERSONALLY i like it more

45
I'd prob argue it's the most unproven spot. But i actually think there's some pretty good potential there. It'd be more concerning to me if i was concerned about the overall talent level. We shall see

46
Hubert will prob get PT as a true frosh. O-line depth is as good as its been in prob 15 years. Concerned about quality depth at CB. RB/WR depth is ......LOADED.

Imo this offense has potential to be best we've had since 03' .

I love his swag, honestly i love the swag of the whole team. It's not a knock on the 2012 team, but i like this  team's personality more.

2012 team was so buttoned up, very business like. Just did their jobs, and outworked teams. This team kinda has more od an attitude they just want to fight everyone, and imo, thats an attitude that the 2012 team lacked. Anytime anyone talked shite or whatever it was 'ho hum, recite Snyders 16 goals, etc, etc' but this team is gonna say 'eff that, we are better than you and we are gonna kick your ass' .

Unfortunate about Green. From my understanding was that it was seriously 11th hr before they finally decided he couldn't get it done. Which is somewhat odd. Must have been a true toss up whether he'd make it cause usually you hear they are fonna be placed at Jucos long before Fall camp is to begin

It wasn't an option to reduce the buyout before 5/1/19.  His existing contract ran through 4/30/19, and KSU had nothing to offer him in exchange for reducing that buyout sooner.

His existing contract stays the same, with the exception of him having to tell KSU withing 72 hours of getting into serious talks about another job - and it'll be up to us to expose when that's happening a la when we broke the Marquette talks.

He now has a 2 year contract for 5/1/19 through 4/30/21 with a higher salary for those years but a much lesser buyout.

I imagine everyone in the negotiation knew that KSU wanted the ability to shitcan him at the earliest opportunity.  Given that there was no way to do that cheaply before 5/1/19, they made this deal to try to pitch to dumb people that all is well.

Dont state logical facts with this group of mouth breathers. It exceeds their mental faculties

Fans can bitch and stupidly moan all they want. Weber was GOING to get some sort of extension. Not giving the guy a raise, and reducing his buyout by 2 million once current contract is up says GW isnt an all in BW fan
