I will enjoy TF out of good K-State baseball this Spring, I hope it happens.

Football-Men's Basketball-Volleyball-Baseball

If K-State can be good in those 4 sports it will be outstanding for our athletic department and provide the very best possible marketing and brand building opportunities.
Dax we suck at Volleyball

He's saying he doesn't want us to suck. Dawn Sullivan will be here January 2023, and the ship will be righted.
God, I hope so.

Back to the task at hand, Baseball plays Central Connecticut State tomorrow at 2pm then a doubleheader on Sunday. Should be a fun weekend of baseball. Hoping that Blake Adams can pitch a shutout tomorrow and then we see more from the Saturday Sunday starter against a stagnant CCS on Sunday.

Any update on Wentworth’s injury?

Nowell is still out for next week so oscar ain’t winning crap

How does he go from testing it out pre-game ISU last weekend (I thought I read that somewhere) to being out for 10 more days? Aggravated it that bad loosening up? That sucks.

Omg is that Coach Mueller from Goldbergs?!

Crush a Gargantuan from Potbelly’s once a week. Also, BOGO today for their 45(!) year of making the best subs around.

I'm not sure of the changes, but Staley said he subbed DL Linval Joseph for Murray.  It could be that Acho is pointing to the role of LB being filled by a safety now instead of a direct substitution though

Yeah, I think you’re right on that.

I was not rooting for a tie because I wanted Tomlin in the playoffs. The way it played out made for great memes but people are out of their minds if they think the raiders were talking a knee before that time out.

The timeout was taken after the play clock went down and the game clock was under 40 seconds.  The Chargers waited to call it so the Raiders could still knee it but the announcers didn't seem to understand it.  I'm guessing it was mostly to give the Raiders another chance to think about just running it out.  I think the Raiders would've let it run out if they didn't pick up enough yards.  Good for them for kicking it.

The Chargers coach said he called a timeout to get their best run personnel in and they did change their guys on the field after the timeout. He was convinced, and I agree that they were going to run the clock down and attempt a field goal, no matter the result of that 3rd down play. FWIW the Raiders didn't change their formation or personnel after the timeout, they likely called the same play.

I'd have to check myself but someone told met this morning that Chargers only had 10 guys on the field after the timeout.

They had 11, but did change personnel after the timeout while the Raiders didn't.

Acho breaks it down perfectly, even though the text of his tweet was very misleading "There’s one player missing..." He's referring the the LB that should have been in given the Raiders personnel instead of the Safety that was subbed in after the timeout.

What will be the hallmarks of a Klein offense? What can we expect to see?

I bet he runs 6 plays, split veer. Like novocaine. Just give it time, it always works. Then hit ‘em with a fake 23 blast backside Georgia reverse like their life depended on it. Simple game really.

Some rumblings of another big time transfer looming as well.

Any clues to who it could be? Do we need another LB? Maryland has another LB (2021 HS 5*) transferring as well, but coming off a torn ACL. Maybe they want to play together?

A stuffed burger place that is chipotle style where you tell them what you want in your burger and then they cook it

Familiar with a Jucy Lucy? Minnesota thing with cheese stuffed in the burger, comes out dripping basically boiling. Never asked for the other toppings but might have to the next time I’m up there.

Kansas State Football / Re: How much are we going to pay our players?
« on: December 08, 2021, 03:15:13 PM »
My Dad (a CPA) was wondering if the students that receive some type of benefit will have to file a tax return in every state they play a game in.  He said that in the continuous learning training he takes to maintain his CPA, the answer to that is not really known.  Maybe it depends on how they are compensated I guess.
Why? Where does he live, and where is he employed? Does Steve Dave have to file a state income tax for every place he travels to on business?

Potentially yes.. depends on reciprocity between the states or if it’s one of the 9 states without income tax. Some cities have their own too. If you spend a certain amount of days in NYC for work, get to pay NYC tax too.

huh. was he really that bad this year? why not do it at the end of last season?

Hes only missed the tourney once since 2014, this can’t be results related.

And they won the big 10 (share?) in that 2020 Covid doomed season. Also just signed a 3 year extension in April.

Self getting a show clause and he’s coming home to calm those waters… 👀

« on: December 01, 2021, 08:15:01 PM »
With a 9-game conference schedule, it can matter. For example, KU also starts out on the road in the conference schedule and has to play 5 road games vs. 4 home games. Do they at least alternate years in which you have 4 vs. 5 home games? Obviously, I've never really cared.

I don’t recall it ever not flipping back and forth every year from a conference schedule standpoint. Simply because it alternates H/A with every school each year. Maybe back when we had the North South divisions?

Busting through some concrete on the skirt of my patio to pony fence in my side yard to contain most of my smoking & grilling equipment.  Got to keep it out of reach of my 15 mo man child who I found standing on my kitchen island this week.

Going to put post 8’ above ground on the 2 patio corners and hand a sun sail to the 6’ side yard fence to get it somewhat out of the weather.

Yes! Obviously he would wear #2 as well.

I can’t believe Ferenrtz had a 4star sitting behind Petras, and didn’t bother giving him reps. Petras was pedestrian. There’s another team in need of a new OC. Guess we should be thankful Mess isn’t Klieman’s kid.

Goofy Dawg could walk out as OU's coach next year and they'd still get at least 8 wins.

Pulled up their schedule, I couldn’t decide the better story line Dimel shocking the new look Sooners or how anticlimactic the return trip to Lincoln must feel/the hope Husker fans now have!

Isn’t there a rule about letting the defense make subs when the offense changes personnel? Or is does that not apply the last 20 seconds of a half? Feel like the refs should have been standing over their center as time expired..

I'm at 150 wins in Fortnite. So, I've been playing Arena (which is the competitive version) for the past two days and am getting absolutely DESTROYED.

So, I guess this means I just have to keep playing and getting better.

You are too old to ever be decent at competitive even with a decent pc rig. sorry your hand-eye coordination, reaction time, ping and hours you will dedicate are just not enough.  Enjoy the match engine and have fun.

Oh, I fully understand that. My issue is that I keep wanting to progress. Be better than I was before. There is just no end to it.

Working 2 jobs, 50 wins, and probably runs 2 miles a day and gets 10 hours of sleep. You’ve won life.

I'm a finalist for an executive director job and if I get it I will put an unlimited pto plan in place but I will give the employees the option to grandfather themselves in to the plan. I think unlimited pto is a great perk if you didn't already spend years building up pto. Luckily this organization already has a cap on the amount of pto that can be carried over and paid out.

Hope this means you can move south again.

Jesus... how is this thread receiving this much attention!? CK isn't going anywhere, and the people calling for his head already have such a short memory. We've been extremely competitive this year and if Thompson had been able to stay healthy, both this year and last year, this isn't even a conversation topic.

None of you seem to remember how frustrating and infuriating the last 2-3 years of LHC LHC LHC Bill Snyder football were. The records don't reflect all the holes that were showing up that we all saw.

If we go 3-0 over the next three weeks, which is very possible, then all this goes away anyways. This weekend's game is critical to the rest of the season though.

Now, if we only go 1-5 over the next 6 games, then maybe we can start asking some questions, and a coordinator or two gets changed. However, right now people are getting all worked up over some close loses.

We've lost 8 straight conference games.
We have a negative turnover margin on the season.
We are committing too many stupid penalties.
We have no clock management.
We don't have depth (shift some blame to Snyder).
With the 70th best class in the nation, our recruiting does not have a positive outlook for 2022.

This thread is relevant, but glad to know your threshold for questioning our head coach is a 1-13 conference record over the past 14 games.

You could always donate (more?) money to all those worthy causes.

Afford better coordinators or ”attract” these elusive higher ranked recruits. Seems like a win win to me.
