So seriously what's the story with Kelce?  Big Red have any post game comments?  For Allegedly being the best TE in the league, pretty weird he doesn't have a single target.

I hate road construction.  I just don't blame the mayor for it.

I also hated it when my neighbor's dog attacked the mailman and we didn't get mail for about 2 weeks.  And I don't blame the mayor for it.

He has no say on how much of a cluster eff KCMO road construction is?

like, whether Broadway should be reduced to one-lane is probably not a decision that comes across the mayor's desk.

has the Californo's shooting been discussed.  I haven't been following the Westport street privatization discussion.  I assume this shooting is a blow to the anti-privatization crowd?

what's the scoop on this QB?  When I hear dual-threat from TX, I immediately assume he'll be on the ring of honor someday.   :dunno:

I assume the streetcar was directly responsible for the Joe's decision.

Why are so many people confused by the time sequencing in the show?  Goodness gracious.  There are plenty of things to be confused about.  But, a cutaway scene of Jon Snow in Dragonstone transitioning into a scene 10 seconds later of Jon Snow at gates of the wall, does not mean the writers intended for you to believe Jon Snow's journey to the wall occurred in 10 seconds.  This general rule applies across all cinema, FYI.

the letters kind of remind me of what cheerleaders might do to pep up the stands before a high school homecoming game.

elections, if my side wins, they're great.  otherwise i do everything i can to ensure that my side still wins, it's the slyin' way.

ps, voters like you, not Sly James, are literally the embodiment of what you just posted.  the TDD was an election.  Expansion won.  guys like you can't stand it.  start petition drive to invalidate the process.  your position on this is laughable.

fix your rough ridin' photobucket pictures, downgrade

here's a list of all special tax districts that have been created in Jackson, Clay, and Platte Counties.  There are about 50 of them.  The ability to created TDDs and CIDs is created by statute.  can you imagine if the Shoal Creek Parkway TDD was open to a city-wide vote?  No, you probably can't imagine this, nor would you want this.  Because the concept is rough ridin' Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!).  If you don't want your money going to the TDD, don't spend your money in the TDD.  simple.  If you don't want your hard earned nickel (literally about a nickel) going to the Tremont Square TDD in Platte County (whatever the hell this is), don't spend your money in Tremont Square.

you just compared the tremont square development to the streetcar expansion which tells me that either you can't discern why there's a difference between the two or that you're just ignoring the reason why it's an invalid comparison.  either way, at this point i'm OK knowing that you don't agree with me

What's invalid about the comparison, other than the size of the TDD?

PS - all of this illegal petition drive nonsense is entirely irrelevant to the TDD that was already created for the streetcar expansion to Union Station!  All Aboard!

What is illegal about it, Phil?

It's illegal for 2 basic reasons.  First, you can't amend, modify, or eradicate a state statute through the use of a municipal petition drive.  The creation of TDDs and the process of limiting votes to residents/property owners within the TDD is statutorily permissible.  The only way to change this reality is to change the statute.  Secondly, there is no statutory mechanism for penalizing city employees for doing what state statute requires/enables them to do.

long story short, if you don't like TDDs/CIDs, change the law in Jeff City.  Any effort to change the law in City Hall is futile.

increased sales tax in midtown does not affect 2n kenn living in a split level next to the metro north mall parking lot.

how does this even make sense to you?  sales taxes have nothing to do with where you live.
. . .

So, any place a sales tax exists, individuals should be granted a vote?  I don't think this was your intended angle when you started railing this morning.  try again.

Too bad about Dark Tower.  should have just been a Netflix/HBO series from the get-go.

my one complaint is Podrick's lack of progress as a swordsman.  man, he sucks.

Spoke with our landlords realitor yesterday who lives in the River Market. Says it's been a complete crap show down there since the little engine that could came in. He regrets buying down there now. Says a lot of bums use the system and the homeless traffic has increased since it's gone in.

Just think of all those bums. Must be terrible. Before the streetcar, they never dared walk the .3 miles from downtown across the north loop highway. But now...

I don't even know what a super road is - but I'm excited to ride the train to brookside!

Contract Extension.  Shaun Williams.  case closed.

it's because agents also know when it would be convenient for schools to fire coaches and it is their job to negotiate contracts so that it is as inconvenient to fire their clients.

well obviously.  It's also the job of the attorney of the university to take the opposite approach.  so, ya know.

It wasn't an option to reduce the buyout before 5/1/19.  His existing contract ran through 4/30/19, and KSU had nothing to offer him in exchange for reducing that buyout sooner.

This.  Gene's extension isn't necessarily the issue - it was JC's contract in the first place.  the 5/1/19 buyout trigger guarantees oscar is our coach in 2018-2019 or guarantees we're +2mil poorer coming March '18.  We're not firing him on May 1.

I'm admittedly low head coach contract negotiation IQ, but I googled the Cuonzo Martin contract and looks like April 30 is also the trigger date for his buyout.  given the NCAA championship game is in early April, not really sure why these buyouts are so late.  Snyder's buyout trigger is January 14, for instance.
