« on: March 28, 2010, 10:48:42 PM »
I sat next to a guy (not a ksu fan) on my flight back today that said his nephew was transferring to k-state to kick.

While common courtesy was being employed in most cases, the novelty of sharing an NCAA site with their rivals had generally worn off for KU and K-State fans by Friday.

Each school had staked out unofficial headquarters at two Bricktown drinking establishments — Bricktown Brewery for KU and TapWerks Ale House & Cafe for K-State — and neither group seemed willing to cross party lines.

Translation: You stay over there, we stay over here.

"I feel like (Kansas State fans) are a lot more friendly than the KU people," said Bergner, who graduated from K-State in 1989. "You see the people with all the Jayhawk stuff on walking down the street and they won't even say hi to you."

A group of six KU fans walked by Bergner as he was talking, and he waved.

"See?" Bergner said. "Not even a smile."

nice pic, did you do squaw peak?

did this one (devil's bridge I think) and a quick out-and-back canyon in the morning.  stopped at one of the cliff dwellings after lunch.  then had to to hit the road to phoenix for a conference.  would love to go back when I have more time.

i did 15 pound pork shoulder, 3 slabs of back ribs, a whole chicken, and a dozen jalapeno poppers last friday for the QATZ game.  crap took me 18 hours.

 i want to be your friend

It's a drive from scottsdale.  Pretty cool.  you could hike around for a little while I guess.  Unless you go on a tour.

Spend a day/night in Sedona.
What's in Sedona?

great scenery, romantic.  google it.

Hike Camel back mountain or Squaw Peak if it's not too hot.
Thanks, have heard about Camelback. Sedona looks amazing, definitely stopping there

Sedona is definitely a good stop.  Here's me last June.

dumb story

I bought some catalyst at work last week.. the manufacturer calls their shipping containers "Katpacs".  I was lol when they told me, but it got awkward when I couldn't explain why it was funny.
