I feel so helpless. There's got to be a way to undo what has been done. Currie's actions signal that he's purposely trying to kill our basketball program and it's too painful to just sit back and watch it happen.

Who would be on it? He said on air that he would be bringing this guy in, who was an ace recruiter at UNC and Michigan State. Also alluded to potentially keeping some of the current staff, probably Underwood. Who else?

The one thing I don't like about this interview is it sounds like the search firm that Currie is using hasn't reached out to Gottlieb yet. I'm curious who the guys at KSU he's been talking are.

I guess I could be receptive to the idea if he hired a very experienced assistant (Underwood?) and he got another assistant with strong AAU ties.
And Steve Dave, I don't know where you're going with this gottlieb > pearl stuff. Pearl is like Huggins 2.0 for us. Heck, maybe better because his infamy comes from cheating instead of being a drunk. Proven winner. Gottlieb is a wildcard. I think you just have a big crush on him.
But Pearl isn't really an option I guess so it's a pointless argument.

Plus its clear he does his homework, watches tons of film, talks to tons of coaches. He knows the game, he could get good people to work with him, and he could get into tons of living rooms.damnit fan, don't do this to me. you are probably the only person on this site that could convince me to change my mind.
People are making this a left field hire, but its much less out of left field than most realize. Gottlieb would be great, innovative, and fun for K-State basketball.
