Who would you rather learn from to be the best LB that you can be? A guy who played safety and has only coached LBs for a year, or a guy that played LB and has coached LBs for nearly 30 years producing All Conference and All American players?

Would you rather live in Miami or Manhattan for 4-5 years? 

Would you rather go to one of the top private universities in the entire nation, or one that strives to be a Top 50 public research university ten years from now?

Would you rather live within a long drive from home, but one you can make in a day, or would you rather live somewhere you have to spend a bunch of money to fly home?

I mean, it really is as simple as the experience of your position coach, though.

I don't see any problem with going after an athletic Juco QB. I think we have a good enough history converting athletic QBs to other positions successfully which could be a theme over the next few years.

I do see a problem considering they don't exist this year.

It's just a bad year for JUCO QB's. Real bad.

Whats the deal with Hosick? KSU gave him an offer out of HS. From KC area. Has 3 to play 3. Can sign immediately and be here for spring ball.

there have been times in the last few months where i've wondered if ksu football would be better off ten years from now if we would've just kept vanier 1.0 and used the 70 million to offer a harbaugh type a ten year/70 million dollar contract.

Great idea.  Except after a few years of 6-6 or less; he'll jump up and down demanding that we build him some rough ridin' facilities so he can recruit to this hole in the ground. 

P.S.  I'm not calling you a dip crap, since the Big Dipper has that title, but even MIR has more intelligence than this.

Good point. Some one else on here mentioned Chase Johnston playing DE or could; if that's the case the roster will look pretty salty.

Hopefully we have answers at RB, TE, and WR.

I cherish LJS.  I normally do not like fish, but I love LJS fish. Probably because it does not taste like fish.  It's a delivery mechanism for batter. 

I get 2 piece fish with hush puppies, and add a fish. Before eating the fish, i drench it in malt vinegar.

I had this last night without the extra fish. Dip the hush puppies in their cocktail sauce. Inhaled, felt bad about an hour later...

What made AJ think of this?

That's definitely not accurate. Diener left while I was covering Kansas High School football and I did that 2010-12.

left where?  think we must be talking about different people or something.  marvin diener left salina central after the 2005 season, and has been head coach at G-E ever since (2006-present) as far as i know

I was conflating Diener leaving central for g-e with Randy Dreiling leaving hutch for aquinas. Sorry

Thank God. I think we all can sleep better now that we have all of this cleared up.

first i saw was it's a grayshirt offer but now i'm seeing walk on. who knows. i'd be very surprised to see anyone turn down a scholarship at any big 12 school to walk on at another big 12 school.
