Guys, 1 week from today, we host the AFC Championship game for the first time Evvvvvvvvver!

 :excited: :Woohoo:

28
Dominate the 1st half. Chiefs scored 153 offensive pts in the 1st half at Arrowhead. A ridiculous 4.13 pts per drive

LAC was #6 scoring team, Ravens were 13th.  Bengals came into Week 7 averaging 29.0 per game. Dalton/AJ Green injuries derailed their O.

Those 3 teams had 24 pts in the 1st half.  Just 1.84 pts per drive

Don't let them breathe in the 1st half. Another sufficating 30 minutes. Offense, 24 pts in 5 drives. Defense, forced 4 straight 3-and-outs.

Chiefs are 24th in Pts Allowed.

2006 Colts were 23th
2008 Cardinals were 28th
2009 Saints were 21st
2011 Giants were 25th
2016 Falcons were 27th
* That's 5 of 24 Super Bowl participants last 12 yrs

When Patrick runs through that tunnel tomorrow I am going to pass out from screaming.

"At Quaterback From Texas Tech... Number 15...PATRICK MAHOOOOOOOOME"

Can't wait.  I'll be arriving in the parking lot hopefully areound Noon or so.

32
Scoring offenses the Colts faced--
#31 Jax twice
#30 Buffalo
#29 Washington
#28 Oakland
#27 Tennessee twice
#26 Miami
#23 NYJ
#22 Dallas
-- allowed 16.7 in those 10

#18 Philly
#17 Cincy
#16 NYG
#12 Houston 3x
#4 New England
--- allowed 26.3 in those 7.

33
Colts OL is extremely good, and they allowed the fewest sacks this season.  That said, in there last 14 games, the only team they faced who was top 15 in sacks was the Texans.  They faced them 3x, and were 11th in sacks.

Also 16 QBs had a QBR of 60+ this year.  Colts are 9-2 vs teams who QB was below 60.  2-4 against teams with QB above 60.  Both wins vs Watson who was #13 in QBR

Just heard this is radio- Marlon Mack only has 20 broken tackles in 212 touches.  Just 17 catches, so he's not a big threat in the passing game. Hines is their pass catching RB

34
in 2015 the chiefs started 1-5 and rallied to make the playoffs and won the wild card game @ houston

in 2018 the colts started 1-5 and rallied to make the playoffs and won the wild card game @ houston

 :fatty:

2015 Chiefs lost to the 1 seed.
2018 Colts will also lose to the 1 seed

No disrespect to Sammy, but I'm more interested in healthy Eric Berry. We need him more.

Watkins IMO is more valuable to KC in their playoff run

35
Hey, 10-1 in 11 game stretch in NFL is very good no matter the opponent.  I said they could be dangerous. Just think they're inconsistent.

Chiefs didn't make it a habit of trailing crappy teams late or losing to a 5 win team.  Chiefs don't have to apologize for doing this....
1) 16 pt road win at 7-8-1 team
2) impressive road wins over LAC/Pitt
3) 35 pt win over Cincy team that wasn't broken yet
4) combined 96-20 lead at half over bad SF/AZ/Oak/Jax teams in Arrowhead

36
In 7 of 8 home games, Chiefs led by 13 or more at some point after halftime.

In 7 of 8 home games, Chiefs led by 12 or more in 4th Q. Ravens were exception in both

I trust 15 and I trust our D enough in Arrowhead in January 2019

37
the colts are coming for the chiefs' heads, they are red hot, and i am officially filled with dread.  :bawl:

Define "Red hot".   If that's back to back road wins then OK.  Remember a Blaine Gabbert Titans team is 6-10 if he plays 16 gms

Colts last 6 regular season games included...
1) being down to Miami 24-14 at home in 4th Q.  Miami went 4-9 last 13 games
2) Colts lost to Cody Kessler led Jax team
3) Colts  trailed NYG at home, late in 4th Q, 27-21

Can they be dangerous, Yes.
Are they inconsistent, Yes
Would I rather play Ravens team that gave up 34 to KC/LAC in regulation. Or Chargers who were 7-1 with 28 pts per game on road? No

38
In Arrowhead in the 1st half the Chiefs did this...
19 TD
7 FG
7 Punts
2 TO
1 TO on down
1 Miss FG
* 4.13 Pts per drive

39
Chiefs ended with 66 offensive TDs and 69 non scoring drives (45 Punts, 18 TO, 3 Missed FG and 3 TO on downs)

Only 1 team ever had a better ratio. The 2007 Patriots had 67 TD 68 Non scoring drives

40
If Houston loses to Jax, then the Indy/Tennessee winner is division champ (and the 4 seed).  If Houston wins they will be 3 seed (unless NE somehow loses). Would love to avoid playing Chargers or Ravens in 2 weeks.

So could be ...
6 Titans/Colts at 3 Texans
5 Chargers at 4 Ravens
* IMO 50% Colts win, 35% Titans win (over Texans)

6 Texans at 3 Ravens
5 Chargers at 4 Titans/Colts
* If it's Colts, I think 60-65% chance either Colts or Texans win.  If it's Titans, I think the chance goes down to like 50%

41
DJamer Swearinger just got cut for pissing off the redskins coach.  Maybe the Chiefs will sign him to keep Sorensen off the rough ridin' field

Would take.  But some other team likely claims him off waivers before our turn comes up.

42
Opponents 3rd down conversion-
Last 4 games, 27-48 (56.3%)
Prior to that, 36.3%

*Penalties on 3rd downs aren't conversions. They go as "No play" if a 1st down is result.    3rd downs D has been atrocious of late

43
1) 3rd & Goal from 4. PI on Ward.  Eventual TD, not FG. 2) 3rd & 15.  TSmith whiffs on ankle tackle instead of just breaking down and making simple tackle. Eventual TD, not a punt. 3) 3rd & Goal from 4.  PI on TSmith. Eventual TD

Rookies with no experience. But wow, they were brutal.

44
The 7 teams the Chiefs have faced at home as a whole have been "below average" Offensive teams.  Those 7 are currently ave 21.4 pts per game. (23.5 is league Ave)

The 4th Q was a huge disappointment on Thursday. Prior to that we had allowed 21 scoring drives (16 TD) and forced 14 TOs.  A total of 126 pts.  Chiefs Offense has 139 pts in the 1st half at Arrowhead.

I don't totally trust our D at home, but we've been pretty good on forcing TOs at home and getting sacks (28)

Just look how poorly of a job Murray does reacting here. This is 1st & 20 on the last drive

Murray is the top safety.  When Rivers releases the ball, Benjamin is at LAC 43, Murray is at KC 45.  The ball is caught at the KC 45.  Murray doesn't break when the ball is thrown. He drifts back a few more steps and is late in an attempt to get a pass break up.  Not great instincts and slow reacting (bad combination)

46
8-6 Ravens will have a ton on the line next Saturday night at LAC.  If they win, they likely win the division. Pitt will be underdog at the Saints.  Then Ravens host Browns in week 17

If they lose to LAC, they likely wont make the playoffs. NYG at 8-6 Indy. Washington at 8-6 Tennessee. Colts and Titans play each other in week 17. Good chance one of them finishes 10-6

This guy is former NFL team Doctor.  He thinks Fuller will play again this year.  Sounds like he even could play at Seattle.

48
Play of the the game no doubt -- 14-0 KC, Chargers are 3rd & 10 at KC 13.  Sorensen gets called for a bullsh*t holding penalty on Gates.  And he also drops an Interception.  So instead of a pick, or worst case a FG try on 4th and 10....damn Chargers get a 1st down and eventual TD

49
Chiefs got the ball, trailing, on 2 drives. We got 2 TDs. On the year, when KC is behind, we have --
14 TD
7 FG
5 Punts
4 TO
0 FG misses
Pts on  21 of 30. Pretty impressive.

What's more impressive. What this team does when we have a lead of 1-7 pts.  We are tremendous at making it a 2 score lead.
19 TD
4 FG
3 Punts
3 TO
1 FG miss

Great day at the stadium.  4th quarter and OT had so many emotions.

Great day away from Arrowhead too.  Thank Miami Miracle and Andrew Luck
