Kansas State Football / Re: If You Had To Pick One....
« on: August 01, 2011, 09:13:02 AM »
Man, I was a "part" of each the ones listed in this thread so far.  1993 was the year for me...

The pain and understanding listening to Mitch in the parking lot after we tied CU that year, and telling us that "if a tie was like kissing your sister, our sister was Christi Brinkley."  I was like, yep, you nailed it Mitch.

I still get emotional when I think about  listening to Mitch in the parking lot after we beat OU in 93, hearing Mitch say "Listen to me CLOSELY!" over and over...and then he gave his "Red Sea parted speech."  I had effing tears in my eyes...

I miss the crap out of crazy old Mitch.

It's not reasonable, and I'm not really proud of it, but I small part of me really did want to die 1998, just to stop the pain....

Mitch was a big part of being EMAW when I was in the gestational emaw period.

The officer thinks for a moment and hands Currie back his information.

“Just make sure to drive safe the rest of the way,” he says.

Currie replies "run along now, Cap
'n,"
rolls up the window and grins. He is thrilled.

That may be the worst paste in this room.  And there is a list of many competing for that title.

Are any of the Cat players aware that Turner has guaranteed the hawks are going to kick their ass?

hey, for the credit card Ron Princes out there (scary smart about cc!) - I'm assuming a convenience check would count towards the minimum spend for the SPG Amex deal?    I'm thinking about paying off our car and using a convenience check then payng off the card with the cash, meeting my minimum spend.    Possible?

Ummmm, of course.

Not horrible, you will be tucked at virtually every event but stay strong (drink heavy) and they will serve up good meet n greets with Frank/greenie/unds and current players.

I'll probably hit the good stuff next year.  Also, good chance to see Lon ply his racist trade.

Leach wouldn't take that job.

It's this.

Mangino knows winning there for even one season in 6 is a miracle.  He isn't ever going back.

Can you sell them?

no. but i will pay you 100 american dollars for the right to have them. you will sit on them and them when i want them, i will tell you how to book me the hotel that i want using your points. also, i will only take 28000 of them. thus still leaving you 2000 points. deal?

I dunno, seems too easy.

I'm sure Cherokee Daris remembers a townie college bro who got himself elected.

I do.

Dropping the "I'm coming from a Catbacker event" is like saying "I'm rich as hell, your ticket won't stick"

« on: July 29, 2011, 09:53:06 PM »
Like I said, I know the scoop on Internet dating.  It's desperate, not necessarily some scarlet letter though.  There is a reason that people deny doing it or deny meeting that way.  If 1 in 5 couples meet online then there are plenty who pretend they didn't.

Anyway, this guy is a huge dork so I can see why he doesn't meet girls by walking up and talking to them.  I will mock him but will do so good naturedly.

Let the healing begin.

It is definitely a secret.  Using middle name, phony DOB etc.

I like the fake girl approach but seems like lots of work and would only payoff if he didn't get suspicious.

The question is not whether Internet dating isn't desperate, it's how hard do I mock my co worker
