I was/am furious about this, but the only thing i can think is that Bill was sending a message to the team...he was clearly not happy with the way we played. I have no other explanation because nothing else makes much sense.  Gary had conceded...he was NOT going to call timeouts...the game was over if we take a knee.  Just really wa weird deal, I'm just hopeful the guys that were injured are ok.

I can't say I've ever seen that one. It sounds horrible.

When it comes to the anal scene performed by Brittney Skye, you don't so much watch this expressive actress's fear and suffering during her hellish journey as viscerally share it. Her screams, gasps, sobs aren't obligatory "slasher" sound effects; they get inside your head, as though you too were dreaming, desperate to discover the source of a child's weeping somewhere in the dark.   And still, what this movie lacks in social sophistication, it more than makes up for in surprisingly imaginative camera work.  A true must see.

Remember in that movie Sorrest Rump where that one dude was plowing that chick from behind and he grabbed her hair and demanded "where am I, where am I, bitch?!?"  and she looked back crying and blurted out "your in my ass!  youuuur innnn myyyy assssss!!!"   Oscar worthy....she was robbed.

Edit:  I'm thinking now this may have been from Terms of Enrearment.  My bad.

It always shocks me that a bunch of jock sniffers with big opinions and even bigger mouths are less successful at identifying talent through the tried and true methods of perusing recruiting websites and looking at grainy youtube footage than the WRSOAT.   :dunno:

will it fit in the back of a mid sized SUV?  does it need a ride to the game or does it need a ride + a zealous fan rabidly waving it during said game?  also, is it currently in kansas city?

they were doing that crap the entire game. I can tell you for a fact that wasn't why CK was taken out though. when sams was in one guy was doing his best trim impersonation by trying to choke him out in the pile.

"for a fact"  ???

Oregon's computer ranking is going to go way up.

How?

I don't think they can pass us in any poll and that's what is important.  If the human polls stay the same, the only way Oregon catches us is to be ONE spot lower than us in every computer.  That said, Bama jumped SEVEN spots by barely (yes i know MOV isn't counted) winning ONE game.

37
I did a little math:

Assuming ND loses and falls behind Oregon, we gain in two polls, but Oregon gains in six. If both KSU and Oregon pass ND in all polls (and no other teams move), our computer ranking would go from .940 to .960, while Oregon's would go from .850 to .890. That would give Oregon a .0048 point lead over us, assuming the poll gap stays consistent. .0048 BCS points translates into approximately 7 coaches poll points OR 14 Harris Poll points that we would need to close the gap.

What happens to Florida is almost as important as ND, really.

if the human votes stay the same, your math is wrong....given what you stated (our computer at .96 Oregon at .89) we stay well ahead of Oregon

It's hard for me not to obsess about why USC is still even ranked when teams like Tech, WV and OSu (all with much better resumes) are not.  USC has beaten NO ONE...best win was a 10 point win over a 5-4 Washington team, and they got beat by a 5-4 Zona team that just lost 66-10 to UCLA.  What part of that resume deserves a top 25 ranking?  And they hang 51 on Oregon....supposedly the #2 team in the nation.   :shakesfist:

Doesn't OSU share that loss with 'Zona

yes

will hurt us this week that 6 of the 8 teams we have beat lost this weekend.  obviously we will gain some of this back the next 3 games (all 3 teams we WILL play beat teams we HAVE played).

but seriously...how in the eff can you give up 51 points and get MORE votes...just how in the eff?

Sagarins ratings should give everyone pause...Bama jumping from seventh to first is hard to understand nine games into the season.  Interestingly Missouri is ranked 29th in Sagarin despite being 1-5 in the SEC with their only win over a (basically) winless Kentucky team.  The computers are hard to figure out...it also appears that ND gained ground on KSU in Sagarin even though they beat a team ranked 87th (Pitt).

I doubt we gain any ground in the human polls but the first real team that Oregon plays puts up 51 points on them???

Bama jumps from SEVENTH to FIRST in Sagarin with the win over LSU.  KSU falls from first to second.   No idea how the computers work but it's hard to understand how a team can jump seven spots when only one team above them lost.  That's tremendous movement from one win nine games into the season.

stanbot was a total dick sucker.  real cute.  made things really enjoyable.

It might've been stanbot the first time or two, but when you repeatedly kept coming back and doing nothing but bitching about it, it was me kicking you off.

you're so cool.  i'll bet all the boys in your high school want to be you.

the ONLY thing that makes sense is he was concussed.  his wrist was clearly not hurt enough to warrant a spot on the pine and the proverbial "taking away of the helmet".  hell he led us on a 96 yard drive AFTER his wrist was tweaked...including a few very nice throws.  he hit his head on the ground on that last td...guessing he went to the sidelines and said something like "where's blue with thursday at Bingo coach?"  and got the hook.

If the Big 12 had 4 teams with ONE total conference win (like the SEC) we would have a few more teams ranked in the top 10/25.

The butt hurt from Joe-sephus is palpable.  Hilarious!

Currently, there are large numbers of college football players, who, academically, do not belong in college. For example: about 30 percent of Kansas State’s roster is made up of JUCO transfers. When the NCAA’s new academic requirements for incoming freshmen go in effect in 2016, schools of K-State’s ilk will either (a) not be able to field football teams anymore or (b) be so uncompetitive that a move to a lower division might be inevitable.

Is this destiny?

If LSU wins this weekend, then USC beats Notre Dame, then yes.

I think Oregon would jump Notre Dame if they both won out.  Neither will jump us though if all 3 win out.  So all that is needed is a Bama upset and it will be K-State v OU with Notre Dame getting left out.

There is no way in hell an undefeated Notre Dame is left out of the title game, especially in favor of K-State.  Voters are looking for ways to keep the Irish in and they're looking for ways to keep KSU out.  Did you see them criticizing us for not beating OU as badly as Notre Dame did?  Did you notice they didn't criticize ND for any of their close wins over pud teams like BYU and Purdue, yet the Cats get criticized for not blowing out OU in Norman?

You don't know what you are talking about.  I'm sure it seems right in your mind, but it's not.  Media love does not determine who playes for the NC...it's really a very simple formula...learn more about it then kick back and have a cold one.

Kansas State Football / Re: A scenario that is concerning (maybe)
« on: October 29, 2012, 04:50:55 PM »
There is something I've been wondering about and hoping someone here might know the correct answer.  Say all four of Bama, Oregon, ND and the Cats finish undefeated...or really it can just be us, ND and Bama.  Say ND and their media hype snakes their way in past us to play Bama.  Who would the Fiesta choose to play us?  They have first choice of the at larges.  In this scenario ND and Bama obviously play in the championship.  Oregon would go Rose.  Florida State is tied to Orange.  Sugar I believe would take the next SEC team correct?  They are tied to doing so even if they lose Bama right?  So let's say it's Georgia for argument sake.  Whatever team comes from the BIG scrapheap goes Rose.

Who would that leave for us?  The SEC would already have two in and can't have a third correct?  This rule has not changed?  So we have the following as candidates at this point.....Clemson?  Louisville?  Boise? (I will blow a gasket if our reward for this season is playing a Boise team that doesn't belong), Stanford?  USC?  I mean the pickings get real slim in a hurry with Ohio State being ineligible.  Stanford and USC aren't bad options but Standford was just there and both them and USC could have multiple losses.  The thing that could suck is if the Big 12 sends two to the BCS, our #2 will likely go Sugar to play a better opponent than what we would get in the Fiesta.

If my assumptions are correct and we do indeed get left out of the title game, I would much prefer Oregon go instead of ND because then we would almost assuredly get to play ND in the Fiesta in what would be a huge game.  That being said, let's just go to Miami on Jan 7th.

ND has ZERO chance of passing us.  ZERO.
