The finger surgery story makes no sense. An injury maybe makes sense, but it would have had to have been an unbelievably bad injury.

yeah. either ligament damage or a broken finger would be the only things that would require surgery. unless he has a dreaded finger hernia. that would be devastating.

Super basketball IQ KU fan told me he did it doing that "WINDMILL" the other night.   :frown:

100% worth it

Weird bill. Seems like that would be easy for insurers to put in their policies if they were concerned about paying out to terrorists.

There’s just so many games left still. I’m struggling to understand why so many are acting like this was a make or break for any team.

Both Big Monday Big 12 games tied at the half!

I know it’s not traditional, but I would count winning the conference in football next season to still be this “year,” so I’d still be pretty excited to win the Big 12 in bball since we could potentially pair it with a 2019-20 FB championship.

Or I guess they decided it was better for people to see more immediate benefits through increased pay checks.

And for a tax bill seemingly geared toward trying to appease the middle class (through relatively modest benefits compared to the super rich & corporations) they really should have thought of that aspect of implementation.

It’s usually a solid argument, but in this case I’m suspicious because he didn’t misspell it as “trial” which is what you expect from a complete idiot.

Who does he even think he’s explaining this to. Like there were some people who were all like, “oh this report seems to suggest Trump is lazy. I don’t like that at all.” And then they see that tweet and they’re all like, “oh I see he really does work a lot. Good good.”

I'm looking for shows to binge until Game of Thrones comes back so I finally hopped on the Mad Men train.  It doesn't really have my balls yet even after a full season.  Should I stick it out?

If you’re not hooked after season 1, you’re not gonna get any more hooked other than out of obligation if you keep watching.

Like everything good Trump does, he will either change his mind or fail to perform any kind of follow up within a month.

Savage :sdeek:

Not a bad joke in private though. Almost gE appropriate.

That’s a good one

Also seems pretty accurate for me on the ideology scale. Although weird that my top match is a socialist.

Anyone else in the Yang gang?

I forgot they already had 4 losses.  Honestly going 6-2 in the back half seems impossible. That would be 12-6 and wouldn’t be enough to even tie. I think we can officially say the streak is over.

Just when MIR had me convinced that jinxes aren’t real, you go and jinx it.

I think there is something to that. I have extremely LBBIQ but just looking with my eyeballs our guys don’t LOOK like great rebounders, but we definitely force a lot of Hail Mary type shots, which you just naturally expect will be picked up by the defense. So even though it doesn’t feel like a rebound it still counts.

I just moved offices too. :Wha:

But there were some video conferencing issues at first so probably different than yours.

No BAC’s scenario is entirely plausible. I was thinking steel chair but equally likely.

7847
The only thing I had heard was WaPo was initially approached about the story like a year ago and decided not to run it due to lack of any corroboration. Has that changed?

7848
Staging any kind of murder photo, much less one rooted in racism, and then putting it in a yearbook is like incomprehensibly stupid.

I should also mention that the Speaker of the House (R) landed the job as a result of a coin flip. Kinda like how the Pats landed in the Super Bowl.

But I think the key takeaway is: If the roles were reversed and these were Pubs at risk of losing the governorship, I am sure an apology would be totally acceptable and we could all move on.

the problem is that there isn't an effective mechanism to remove the gov.  i think almost everyone agrees that the gov and lt gov should resign (not sure if there is a similar consensus on the ag).  they just don't agree and it's not an easy matter to force them out, if it can be done at all.

and obviously, no dems think they should hand the governorship over to the pubs, nor is that required.  they could hand off to dems if they agreed to step down.

The gov should obviously be out. I haven’t really heard a good explanation as to what happened with the lt gov.
