Essentially Flyertalk / Refinancing
« on: October 25, 2016, 12:47:25 PM »
Good idea or great idea?  Never done it before.  Interest rates probably not going to get much lower during my lifetime.  What kind of slick bank tricks should I be on the lookout for?

Thoughts? Is it really that much better than the $40 blender I've had since college? Also, why are there like a thousand different models?

Is a recent passion of mine (though I'm nowhere near). It seems to be turning into a pretty popular topic of discussion.  I've enjoyed reading the popular posts on this blog: http://www.mrmoneymustache.com/

Anyone done it successfully?

Wait, so is he like a woman who became a man but likes women? Or a woman who became a man and likes men? Which one is gay?

Whether you like it or not, I'm predicting we will know whether oscar is staying or going about 2 years from today. I think one NCAA win between now and then would be enough, but otherwise I think he's gone.

Someone just say yes.

Kansas State Football / Likes/Dislikes - Horned Frog Edition

I'm surprised we don't have on of these yet. Share any particular likes/dislikes from the TCU game ITT. General meltdowns can go in one of the many other threads.

Like: Risner snapping the ball when we caught the defense offsides. Ballsy move for a frosh.

Dislike: do we always have to run the play clock to 0 and check with the sideline on the play? This makes it WAY too easy to disguise coverages and time blitzes.

Here is just a theory of mine I have come up with trying to rationalize why we have blown two consecutive first-half leads: What if Snyder has decided he's going to try building to one last natty run before retiring? What if the offense we are running right now is actually designed for Delton and he's just trying to get all the young guns (whether currently starting or not) accustomed to it? :dunno:

Looks like a prime time game next week at BSFS!  :ksu:

How much do we beat TCU by next week? 3 points? 20?

#blessed  :Woohoo:

Seriously.  I'm very pleased the "experts" consider us to be that firmly on the bubble at this point.  If we hold against the crappy teams and beat a few good ones (looking at you, ISU or KU at the OOD) we're probably in.

Kansas State Football / The OFFICIAL Alamo Bowl Game Thread

K-State vs. UCLA seems to be the most likely matchup.  Think we have a good shot, but I hate mobile QBs.

Kansas State Football / This Baylor Game is Hard to Watch

The calls
K-State's obvious lack of speed and coverage
The dirty Baylor players taking dirty cheap shots

Would be interesting to see him do more in a game that matters, but my eyes tell me Hubener looks similar to how Klein looked his sophomore year...

Kansas State Football / Selection Committee Rankings
« on: October 21, 2014, 12:47:25 PM »
Will be very interested to see what the Committee's rankings look like compared to the AP Poll and the "Coaches" Poll (which really just copies the AP poll anyway).  I think the game-changer could be that, unlike the media who obviously focus on the money-making games and the coaches who are too busy to watch any games other than their own, the Committee gives the same attention to each game regardless of whether it was on prime time or not.

I don't expect the results to be earth shattering, but I do seriously doubt we'll see 4 SEC teams in the top 5.

Kansas State Football / Meh
« on: September 19, 2014, 10:02:16 AM »
The way I see it the loss last night probably wasn't much different from a close win. K-State showed it could hang with anyone and probably always needed to go undefeated in Big12 play to land in the playoffs.

Just need to stopf-ing up at every chance we get.

Kansas State Football / Is it Time for K-State to Stop Scheduling Cupcakes?
« on: September 09, 2014, 04:11:57 PM »
We all know K-State has a reputation for playing a pretty weak non-conference schedule, and I understand LHCBS's point of view on the matter.  But with the new Playoff Committee deciding who gets a shot at the National Championship, I think it is time we started scheduling some decent teams in the FBS to really boost our resume.

NDSU last year was a start, but I feel like our non-conference schedule has taken a step back since then.  This year we have Steven F. Austin, Auburn, and UTEP.  Do you think the committee will give two craps about a team with those victories on its resume?  What's worse, how bad would it look if we actually lost to a team like Auburn?  I'm not saying that would ever happen, mind you, but Thursday night games have been known for some pretty monumental upsets.

Do you guys think there is any way we can beef up the schedule in the upcoming years?  I don't care if we have to pay cancellation fees.  We can afford it for the sake of keeping a stellar national profile.
