Pork loin chop and sweet corn night on the grill.  Also, leftover mashed potatoes and demi-glaze from Christmas.

What internal temp do you shoot for?  I'd been doing 165 but just read 145 with a 3 min. rest works.

Just booked an AirBnB in San Antonio for 6 weeks starting the end of January!  :billdance:

Either lots of stuff was already booked or something because it was trashy super cheap or mega expensive. I ended up getting a 3 bedroom house for $3k for the 6 weeks.

Soooo jealous.  Once I kick this farming habit, Mrs.Slack and I will head south for the winter and mountains for the summer.  Spring and fall are the only really good times in SEK.

Just ditch the livestock and be a suitcase farmer growing corn/beans/corn. Plant in the spring, head out to the mountains until September, harvest and catch a couple cat games, Head south after Christmas/new years then come back in the spring to do it all over again.

KATPAPPY's right, it's not that easy.  I finished beans in Dec. then turned around and started sourcing herbicide, fixing terraces, pulling soil samples, buying fert., etc.  Will start fertilizing this month and spraying in Feb.  It's really year round work.  Oh, and my older brother/partner has developed bad ankles and knees so something will change in the near future.

I've run some numbers lately and found that Mrs. Slack and I can retire early and live very good lives, which I'm thankful for.  Hard part will be unwinding the business.

For only having 7 active guys and first time as the BIG GUY I think he called a good game.  Sure Beard out schemed him in the second half but I loved seeing Shane have the chance.

Anymore I wonder why donors keep donating to improve facilities but seem to be happy with mediocre results at best.  Super low athletic IQ?  Looks like a waste of money on a train pulling into G5ville.

Crap, it did snow.  Hauling out hay.

8 deg. and windy in SEK.  Feeding cattle this morning so thank God no snow.

Watching us play in person and then seeing Cinci and Arkansas play just makes Bruceketball so much rough ridin' worse. Our brand of basketball is gross and very nearly unwatchable most of the time.

I don't know why there are two ponds here, but I got the impression it was intentional. ???

Before excavators became popular it was easier just to build a new pond than cut and clean out an old one.  Also didn't have to source new water while old one dried out before cleaning.

Also, also can never have enough water.

Corn dogs are fine dining for them.  Their daily far is mud bugs and opossum, just imagine the stench.

Maderna boost yest. morning, spent the day running around Joplin, spent the evening helping mrs.slack wrap presents and drinking bourbon on the rocks.  Aside from injection site pain and a little more tired I'm fine.

cottage cheese besides in Lasagna

My wife did this once and I told her that if she did it again I'm leaving and taking the kids. I mean WTF. This is the ultimate food cultural appropriation. Go get some damn ricotta.

Cottage cheese in place of ricotta is VERY white midwesterny, all I had growing up but know better now.
