the reason hate crimes are punished more harshly than other crimes is the societal strife they cause.  for the same reason, i don't mind punishing fake hate crimes relatively harshly.

additionally, there is an argument that punishing celebrities harshly is a particularly effective deterrent, since those are the cases people pay attention to.

I like oscar and I'll like him more if he can prove that he can do this kind of thing more than once every 4-6 years.    That starts with recruiting, but by the sounds of it, the current class is above average for oscar, so we'll see.

What's "this kind of thing?" Winning the conference? That's an incredibly high standard given since he's gotten to K-State he has the same amount of conference titles as Coach K, Boeheim, and Izzo COMBINED.

that is some kind of crazy stat!  who the hell has been winning the big 10 if not Boeheim and Izzo?  And what has Duke been doing with those top ranked classes!?

So Wade was seen Saturday night and Sunday afternoon around town, apparently without a boot.

Poster who is Wade’s high school coach posted this morning that he asked Wade’s parents and that his parents didn’t know anything about a new X-ray/broken foot.

Does Kstate have an X-ray machine?  They cost about $100,000.   I guess maybe one that all the sports teams can use?

if true this is as WTF as the Diarra shotgun rumor.

the most optimistic take on this i can come up with it is this:
they are deemphasizing the B12 tourney for the real one, because they don't want to even come close to having dean play back-to-back the week before the NCAAs

Don't know if this has been posted but a Former SB Prez told me Carti hurt his hand by racing a teammate to a car after a game. Was trying to ride shotgun and teammate smashed Carti's hand in the door.

Explains why stockard hasn’t seen the floor much.

no way stockard is close enough to carti in a race to a car to slam his hand in the door...hell, stockard would probably run to a different car from everyone else
