People

Pretty much.  Nearly broke up with a girl because she chewed with her mouth open.  Fortunately, I found a more sane reason to break it off.

« on: February 12, 2010, 10:39:20 AM »
My list:

Hilton Citi Visa
Hilton Amex
American Airlines Citi Visa
Frontier Airlines MC

Starwood Amex
Starwood Business Amex
Delta Amex
Delta Business Amex
British Airways Chase Visa

Generic Work Amex
FNB Generic Visa

Going to cancel the bolded ones and re-apply for about half of them.  Also apply for some new ones depending on promotions.

 :combofan:

Man, the rewards would not be worth the stress for me of trying to keep this all straight.   :runaway:

I have something like four or five.

Or "Mike Anderson Picks My Cotton."  It comes as a white hoodie.

You know, because Anderson couldn't coach at KU, right?!?  Wait, what do you mean Anderson isn't Italian?   :opcat:

I have a really hard time believing that Keegan has the inside scoop on this.

His LJWorld pieces has now be "cited" by everyone from Dennis Dodd to Cowherd.

Yeah, if Keegan got this scoop, it would be his first.  I guess you could say he is due, though...

Manimal!  Best of all worlds, IMO.  If I couldn't be him, then I'd at least choose him as my friend.

I read the powerorbs thread.  My big question is what the hell a "powerorb" is.   :dunno:

Will he redshirt?  I'm sure he's good and all, but I have a hard time believing he'll measure-up while playing against guys who are 19-23 years old.  Also, I'd be worried if I was a USC fan that this little kid isn't up to the quality of men that Pete Carroll was getting...

OTOH, he must be really smart, like Doogie Howser, yeah?  Smarts are important for QBs.

this write up is about as awesome as a high school write up gets, would have been great to have been there.

Good lord, no kidding.

This deserves its own thread as far as I'm concerned.

Its risk/reward, but likely more games = more excitement (at least for some) = more $$$.

Actually, it's apparently less $$$ for KSU/Big XII the next couple of years...

How would revenue be distributed? We’re talking about the same amount of TV/media contract revenue for 31 more teams. Kansas and Texas get less for their leagues?

“Conferences like ours are a lot of the reason there’s so much value for this tournament,” Beebe said. “Are we going to be willing to take less?”

Lots of good stuff in this thread.  A friend of mine just sent me a mix CD with this song by Dios.  It's from 2004, but deserves some  for its lyrics (great break-up song):

I want to punch Owl City in the face and crush a beer can on his unconscious head.

First time I heard Fireflies I literally thought it was a joke song.  Owl City is one of the few "bands" I would actually rank below Nickelback.

OK, now I'll flush away my music credibility: I was taken to a Barry Manilow concert by an ex and I thought it was one of the best/most entertaining shows I had ever seen.  The guy has talent and his songs are catchy.  Also, Bill Clinton came on stage and played sax for one the songs.

Also like the username "Doom and Gloom."  That's good stuff right there.

Looks way more like a doberman than a cat.  Maybe some sort of "re-branding" going on here by the higher-ups, folks.  Stay tuned....

8-foot outdoor rims at Marlatt School, too (although maybe not full court).  I was Shawn Kemp on that court.

Great thread.

You might consider ordering some Stumptown coffee online.  I think it's just OK myself, but it's all the rage these days.  The "third wave" of coffee, and all that...

http://www.stumptowncoffee.com/

(If you click on the "Coffees" tab, you'll get to an order page.)

P.S.  I LOVE coffee!  If we were in grade school, you'd make jokes about "why don't I marry it" and whatnot...
