Antonio Gordon is *really* fun to watch.  I love that he is intense and smiles and celebrates when good stuff happens (of course, a lot of good stuff happened for him tonight - quite a debut!).  He reminds me of Jeremiah Massey as a junior - wow.

It's pretty encouraging if D. Gordon has been outplaying him in practice.

Amazing class.  If BW and company somehow land Muscadin over Self, Phog Nation (still waiting for first 2020 commit, I believe) will soil itself.

Bradford was ranked #23 in the nation by 24/7 in late 2017.   :surprised:

OTOH, human emotion is pretty illogical (loss aversion is real), and I can't see this effing market going up much more (only the 2nd time I've had this feeling!), so you could sell, man.  Election year, etc.  If you time this thing, it could become your favorite story and eliminate any yearnings you might have to do other cool stuff in life (whether that's good or bad is up to you, amigo).  Food for thought.

It's time IN the market, not timING the market, KatKid. Forget not about dividends, wise one.  Having said that, I regularly fantasize about doing some brilliant market timing in my 401k myself.

I tried it once when I was convinced the market couldn't rise further and ended up losing out on enough gains (over months) to buy a really nice car.  Got back in, but those losses are still compounding, amigo.  I'll take it to my grave (urn, actually; fortunately, this seems to be the one mistake my wife has forgotten).

WWJBD (what would John Bogle do)?  Set it and forget it, methinks.

Edit: Keep in mind that your 401k provider surely has frequent trading limitations, though it doesn't sound like you're gonna go wild with this thing.

Let's take a moment to reflect on how absurd it is that we are still ranked below Michigan.  I mean...giant WTF.

It's fun to watch a Michigan team that is ranked only because of pedigree get demolished by Wisconsin.  Any reason they can't/shouldn't drop from #11 out of the top 25?

KSU over MSU, KU over BC, WVU over NC State.  All of those were upsets, right?

Also...the ACC looks pretty awful.  G Tech lost to the Citadel - LOL.  Honorary ACC member Maryland lost to Temple.  NCSU and BC.  Wow!  Even lost to themselves (UNC/Wake).

Poor beems.
This just begs the question: Could the setting be even better if they were to bulldoze the football stadium and replace it with some kind of discrete but tasteful money-laundering facility for the basketball program?

I'm afraid it's going to be really hard to appreciate Les's schtick from this point on, which is unfortunate since that was the best (only?) thing he had going.

At this point, it really looks like Tech could actually win the national championship. That's rough ridin' insane and I love it.

I'm with you.  I mean...they're a 3 seed, so it shouldn't feel so improbable, but it's Texas Tech, guys!  Given what we know about TT bball history, this feels like VCU playing for the title.  So happy for them, though.  Really.  Can't remember feeling such unadulterated joy for another team/fanbase.

Sheesh

LOL, what's the opposite of a blue blood? Blue bloods don't hire someone who has proven he isn't a championship coach. They just hired the, at best, 6th best coach in the Big 12 conference.

Supposedly he has an 8 million dollar buyout at TCU and is trying to negotiate it down to 1 million.   I think at this point their status has been revoked.
You hear about this type of thing, but it has never made sense to me.  I mean, "Gee, we agreed on this giant buyout so I wouldn't screw you over...BUT I decided to screw you over anyway and figure you were just kinda messing around.  Can you cut me some slack?"

I mean...how do coaches succeed in "negotiating" buyouts down like this?  It seems like they should have zero leverage for any kind of negotiation, but I must be missing something.

Question for those stats gurus out there: had a non-parochial school ever before been down by more than 25 points at half in an NCAA tournament game?

Apparently boatloads of bags of cash handed to top recruits' parents, coaches, etc. in hotels and dark alleys across America buys you a 26-point halftime deficit to an SEC school's hobby sport's club team.  Must be rough on people whose identities are tied to that trainwreck.

Proud that BW is Competing without cheATing (CAT).  Kind of amazing, really.

It was like that time Marcus Foster blew all our minds by literally jumping/dunking right over some big guy from Utah State or something...but with a quick cut away to Pablo $#*&ng Picasso painting a masterpiece right next to Chris Lowery.  I mean...I almost cried, guys.  IT WAS SO BEAUTIFUL.

Gonzaga, it was David Stockton
That's right!  I thought I remembered it was the son of an NBA hall of famer but couldn't remember the school or the name.  Well done.

I never thought of Foster as explosive until that moment.

The bench celebration was legitimately Cinderella-over-top-overall-seed-for-NCAA-title quality.  I'm almost sad we used it on such a small stage and against a foe as forgettable as Flood Aggie.  But I'll be damned if I won't cherish it forever.

This was the basketball version of '03 KSU over OU in the Big 12 title game.  The nobody-is-watching equivalent of Pullen outshining and outlasting Fredette.  But in like 5 seconds worth of elapsed time.  Dare I say the single greatest temporal density of cat greatness in perhaps decades.  I think the cats realized this was a truly singular moment and couldn't stay focused afterward.

To ignore this glorious moment of exceptionalism would be tragic.

70
Both worthy of their own threads.  I mean...that dunk (and drive) were Lebron-like, and that guy on the Katz bench celebrating and being dragged backward by a teammate was absolutely hilarious.  Are people talking about these things elsewhere?  I want to look into having a GIF sequence of it tattooed across my chest, guys.  It was literally 10x as much fun as beating ISU without it would have been.  I had never been more proud to be a wildcat fan.

KU being mortal is so weird.  They will be lucky to finish top 4.
Yeah.  The spectre of being forced to compete in the Big 12 with non-negligible impediments to cheating appears to be weighing them down bigtime.

72
I mean...his name is BILL $elf, guys.  The signs practically write themselves.

73
Asking for sign ideas for this game is like asking for plot ideas for a World War II movie.

Anyway...

I would make an adidas logo but with red, blue and yellow hundred-dollar bills instead of bars and change the text underneath to billdidas or something.

Also...is anyone else amazed that you can apparently get top-tier talent to go to a backwater like Lawrence for only $20k or whatever?  I don't buy it.

Also...does it strike anyone else as completely absurd that KU hasn't been given the death penalty or whatever for cheating their asses off?  What a travesty.

I think he genuinely believes he's been hired to coach an intramural squad of ex-cons and volunteer firefighters and run some sort of soup kitchen.  In some very real ways, he has been.

I was truly impressed with this hire until I saw this video.  Now I fear it's gonna be a blooper reel of senility, and i'm not sure it's ethical to derive joy from something like that.  Sad.
