A little late, but....
Like it or not, Guns are politicized, Don't politicize a tragedy is always the comment after a shooting but that is to try to change the subject that we are really the only country where this happens in the civilized world...but hey look at the GOP, they've practically sexualized guns, send them out on Christmas cards, and wear AR-15 Lapel pins.

2
A portion of the party wants Haley to stay in hopes that court causes Don to lose grip.

Last priests of a dying religion. It's part of the lesson they're learning, when you make a deal with Mephistopheles the bill does come due.

3
I don’t think anyone in the world disagrees with you now, or on 2021.

Personally, I am convinced Haley is going through the motions to try and prop up a tiny shred of legitimacy just in case Trump is convicted and the SC weighs in to bless (some) states removing him from the ballot…she’s a backup plan.  The money propelling her campaign is well aware of that.

Honestly, that won't matter. The bargain has been struck....for example with Trump on the ballot they MAY win....but without him on the ballot a solid core of MAGA voters will say the deep state dumb stuff and not vote, or they'll write him in instead Haley which results instantly in a Electoral College loss. Furthermore, this would have a down ballot effect of just wipe outs. Even by conservative estimates if the GOP doesn't have Trump on the ballot...say 10 million MAGA stay home (fairly low per their own estimates) the Democrats get the house by 40 seats at least and easily win the Senate with 52-53 possibly a 55-57 all the way to 59 seat Senate Majority. Not to mention state houses/senates/ governorships.

Example of the disaster Senate map...hence the Bargain of always Trump. (Arizona likely Blue in this scenario but with 3 people on the top of the ticket can't for sure say there wouldn't be a sneak past the goal posts.)

I understand a lot of MAGA’s will stay home if Trump isn’t on the ballot, but i feel like Haley has a better shot of beating Biden than Trump does.

I understand that thinking, but I think that there wouldn't be enough people willing to cross over for her in a general. Despite what people may think about Steve Bannon he's not dumb and by their estimate 20+ million maga will just stay home. so Biden loses 5-7 million votes...okay....now lets find out where the other 13-15 million votes going to be made up?  Even doing MAGA math that is hard to cobblestone 270 in any scenario much less 232.

I'm absolutely shocked at the people who are stunned that Trump is going to be the Nominee. I said it mid January 2021 (days after January 6th) that there was absolutely not going to be a primary and that Trump was going to be the Nominee. The GOP decided very quickly after January 6th to just lie about it, white wash it therefore removing the Insurrection as a thing in the mind of their voters. I said on this board in December 2022 that DeSantis wasn't a real candidate and it's Trump. People should have seen this primary being over before it started. It is Trump's party lock, stock, and barrel. When he probably loses in November (he absolutely can win don't get it twisted), He'll have another January 6th and we'll start the clock for 2028 for either Trump or his son Donald Trump Jr being the runaway favorite to be the GOP nominee.

If it was Antifa that attacked the Capitol on January 6th as the GOP why is the GOP protecting them by blurring their faces.

https://x.com/jakesherman/status/1732065203074781688?s=46&t=qrpQA501rFkGTsR6g9rv2w

Q: Wouldn't bluring their faces out to avoid them being prosecuted be obstruction?

It sounded wonky to me, but if Mike Johnson has it, you can guarantee the DOJ has access to the raw footage.

Likely true but still just an absolute joke for the GOP to even say this…. Just a full out insurrectionist party.

Democrats won’t be able to resist saving the GOP from craziness until they stop caring about social safety nets and what happens to those who are the worst off.

Let the GOP do it. For far too long the American public has been protected from consequences of their votes. It's time...let the GOP run wild and when their voters are hurt the most...they can look themselves in the mirror.

I did see that Pelosi got kicked out of her office, at least she won't burn in the house fire.

GOP Pettiness....expecting them to bail the GOP out...and even when they did that (while she was at the funeral preparations for her friend) she was like okay whatever. Again there is an expectation that the Democrats should always protect the GOP from their crazies....sorry no the reason the House, and GOP overall, is that the Democrats are always expected to be the adults in the room and paper over the crazy. There is an unwritten rule here in DC...no matter how crazy the GOP gets or how bad of actions they do...it's always those Dastardly Democrats at fault...If only they let Romney win the GOP wouldn't have went to Trump....If only Biden didn't win we wouldn't have had January 6th....Gore vs Bush (read up on the Brooks Brothers Riot) Democrats were to accept that a SCOTUS effectively said we 5 conservatives believe the GOP should win and to take it.

Crawthorning Gaetz is pretty funny. However, the GOP has so many problems it's not just Gaetz there are at least 20-30 of the extreme flamethrowers in the House on the GOP. Another 30 or so are holding gas cans saying but I didn't hold the match!

The House is pretty much on fire...and the GOP is getting EVERYTHING they deserve for far too long the Democrats have had to bail the GOP out of the craziness....and better way to ask this...would any of the Problem Solvers GOP Caucus members vote to save Pelosi...they all know the answer is no.

I think Biden is onto what it's all about for many Republicans here.

Biden's right here hence the "Great Replacement Theory" being such a hook line for the GOP voters....it's driving them crazy. Again another consequence to the Southern Strategy.

Southern Strategy - LMAO, such a clown

Birtherism was birthed out the uber corrupt Hillary Clinton camp in a whisper campaign that #blueanon has worked triple OT to make go away.  It’s the same BS as walking into the FBI as just a concerned plain ol Joe Six Pack 4 years later.

For your southern strategy comment.
In 2005, Republican National Committee chairman Ken Mehlman formally apologized to the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) for exploiting racial polarization to win elections and for ignoring the black vote.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/archive/politics/2005/07/14/rnc-chief-to-say-it-was-wrong-to-exploit-racial-conflict-for-votes/66889840-8d59-44e1-8784-5c9b9ae85499/

For Birtherism,
No Clinton's Campaign Memo explicitly said Never to mention his background, Birtherism was started by an Illinois politician

The GOP is like one of those churches that handles snakes.  Absolutely full of crazy and anyone trying to be upfront is getting bit.

It really is unbelievable how fanatical the GOP has become. Obama completely broke most of them

This is more true than people want to acknowledge. The GOP since the advent of the Southern Strategy had long since been tootlng the horn of anti black, with the realignment towards more rural and exurb it was an easy demon for them as there wasn't many (or any) people of Color in their neighborhoods. They turned that horn into an air raid siren when Obama was President, then gerrymandered to such an extreme, pass crazy voter laws that the 4th circuit even said targeted African Americans with almost surgical like precision. They tried to claim the Tea Party was about debt/Deficit/spending but suddenly when Trump was POTUS it was lol here is the unlimited dollars we want to spend!!!! This is why the Kamala Harris haters shouldn't even get a runway to say oh it's her policies....really now explain Birtherism, explain oh she slept her way to the top..or John Eastman's article saying "is she an American citizen  ;) ;) ?"

They know there is nothing there. I've said it here before Rupert Murdoch is the one to blame for the collapsing Western World. The damage he did to Australia, United States, and United Kingdom is unmeasurable. His channel, with a GOP president in 2024 will make war with Mexico as a policy platform.

Klimeade tazing his nads. Kilmeade's makeup is almost as bad as Hannity's.

At this point he needs to just bath himself in the Russian flag.

vivek is going to get to close to trump and he will burn him down the way he burned fat ron to the ground

Or he’s Trump’s VP pick. That though currently doubtful is getting some smoke around it.

19
2024 will be close regardless, Biden is in a decent position. However, the GOP has Fox News and they literally just lied to say the marines charged a family to get their fallen loved one’s remains.

https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/fox-news-apologizes-falsely-reporting-204335931.html

Do not underestimate Fox News's ability to create fake stories and make the, in their words “stupid and unable to accept reality viewers “ believe it. So they’ll go all in and make it closer than it really should be.

Not sure killing your private military contractor leader is a wise move for the Russians. No real guess here but this could get real hot real quick for the Russian military in both Ukraine and Russia.

They got number 1 and number 2.  These are mercenaries.  They'll hire or liquidate anyone else, imagine the leadership with means will be bending the knee real quick.

Probably going to liberate all the guys who didn's sign up to fight with russia after the coup.  dudes in belarus.

Also true, it’s either a bomb or nothing. Probably nothing in between though. Either way pretty ballsy move.

No one gives a eff, dax. Shut the eff up already.
There is no end to his conspiracy theory nonsense, it’s endless and bottomless… And even when one goes down in flames it’s something wise to explain why that didn’t happen. I’ve stated before he either is playing a part for laughs or he’s certifiable at this point.

23
He Could win. It’s not hard to see how, the GOP base is devoid of reality based thinking so they’re all in, and the Press will both sides  everything to equate Biden = Trump. This gives a 3rd party candidate wasted votes that otherwise would’ve went to Biden or people will stay home. This reduces the margin he needs to win by a few percentage points which likely swings the electoral college to him a la 2016 style.

in the legal field that is known as an "oh crap" moment when your entire case is DOA

It won’t matter, the GOP has programmed their followers that so nothing matters to them, they’ll whataboutism, and just continue to outright lie. It’ll be accepted because their people want it to be true and because the American Press is bored they’ll give a both sides approach to it. Especially with all the Trump indictments they’ll go nuclear on But Hunter stuff.

Hunters ability to reach out to the VP during business meetings was the “pinnacle of power” . . . Devon “you have to go straight jail so we can silence you” Archer

20 shell companies, numerous foreign and domestic bank accounts, nearly 200 suspicious financial activity reports by a whose who of US banks, tax evasion, failure to register as a representative of foreign interests, a constantly evolving line of excuses and shitty explanations about what Pedo Pete knew, attempts to foist a bullahit plea deal on to the courts (which makes the Trump appointed prosecutor ‘go to’ absolutely hilarious), millions of dollars flowing from Ukraine, Romania and China, hundreds of thousands of dollars in gifts from now disappeared and/or convicted Chinese entities, seats in the board as what was described as one of the most corrupt corporations in the world operating in one of the corrupt countries in the world  (featuring a disappeared founding chief executive)

Better find some more indictments for Don Trump

seriously how is he such a genius?  freaking dealmaker

My question for people on the Biden topic, if Biden is brain dead and mentality unable to tie his shoes...how is he able to have this nestie dolls of shell corporations and fingerprints everywhere that are unable to be traced?
