different target demo
I have never been to Lollapalooza. I would like to go but haven't been able to swing the price plus I have heard horror stories of most festivals. There will only be 15k a day at Hinterland. Should be far tamer.

Looks Like I am going to Iowa in August... https://www.hinterlandiowa.com/tickets/

I've never understood why they think having Hinterlands on the EXACT SAME WEEKEND as Lollapalooza every year is a good idea.
Yeah me neither but it is what it is. I am in line for tickets right now.

Those Viking cruises look good to me.

Dude, agreed. I've never had a desire to go on a cruise, but those things seem more my speed. Naturally though, they cost a lot more bread.

My mom did a couple European river cruises on a barge with her friends and raved about it. They chartered their own barge and I think between the size and not having a bunch of strangers took away most of the big complaints about cruises.
goEMAW European party barge anyone?  :ksu:

What's your worst concert experience? Mine was Body Count opening for GnR & Metallica. Man, they were horrible.
The Used at the Cotillion. They were opening up for Chevelle. It was horrid.

Does this game even crack the top 5 coldest games in NFL history? Mocat has gone soft.
It does. It will be the 4th coldest in NFL history and the coldest Wildcard weekend game ever played.

I will post the Jackson County presale code we get as Chiefs employees here.

 :impatient:

Actually, eff that. I won't spend another dollar on tickets or apparel until this [redacted] is fired, which I'm guessing will happen maybe by the end of the weekend. However, this is something that will mar my fandom for a while. I'm now Vermes Out and will forever remain that way.

Same here. It is really really sad and a poor poor choice for the club.

Don't buy paper plates either for large gatherings, if we have pizza you can either put it on one of our reusable plates or grab a paper towel.

I also don't wash my truck. Ever really. Would rather drive it through a puddle v. fast on the side of the road to help wash it off during the rainstorm than pay for a wash.

You all probably still have some certain quirks for your cheapness deep down, what are they?

Funny one that I had a self realization about the other day was when buying chicken that was buy one get one free. I took a good minute to find the second package of chicken that was closest to the price of the first one I had grabbed. I don't mind splurging other things but I'll be damned if I pay 10 cents more for a package of chicken
I do this too.

I compare everything with price per ounce, do it with everything. Cheese, Beer, Apples. You name it. Also only somethings I buy once they go on sale. If i run out of razor blades I will use the last blade in the box sparingly until they go on sale. A lot of things in life I refuse to pay full price for.

Also eff inflation
YES GREG YES. Those razor holiday gift kits always go on sale the week after Christmas. Which reminds me I bought 8 razors and shaving gel for $4. Did the same with a deodorant/body wash combo
Samesies. I haven't bought socks in years. Always get them for Christmas.

Bit of a #ack for the Price Per Ounce most grocery stores have them on the price tag on the shelf. Usually just buy the one that is lower. Problem solved. Also sticking to a list. Never ever buy something because you think it is a good deal.

The Iron Claw is by far the saddest movie I have ever seen in theaters.

Why is a cutting board even part of the equation? I swear to god Greg you come up with some wild crap.
The reason I ask is you make a masterpiece of a sandwich does it need to go on a plate?

Also my go Sandwich as of late has been the following.

Hyvee San Fran Sourdough
Mayo, Sometimes Dijon
Iceberg Lettuce
Maters if they look nice
Vlasic Dill Stackers
Mezetta Hot Banana Peppers
Fannestill Party TIme Ham
Sharp Cheddar from the Hyvee Deli Counter.

Does anyone else eat their sandwiches straight off the cutting board or do you always use a plate?

Even a gig seems like massive overkill for residential use

It’s enough for 25 ppl to stream 4K video

I only have 300MB download speeds with current provider and my family streams and games simultaneously with zero issue. Maybe we will need massive dl speeds for the coming metaverse.
This makes me laugh as I live alone and have gig At&t Fiberinternet. I don't think I could ever go back.

Got the house to myself this weekend. In the last 4 hours I’ve taken down a half of a bag of potato chips and um, an entire 14” pizza. Will report back ITT if I literally die from this

I got a 14" pizza tonight too, but I only ate half. I went to Domino's. Where'd you go BAC?

I won’t lie to you bucket bc I know this thread is a judgment free zone…despite several gore may options around me I was like this is NOT indulge in an artisanal pie night, this is for ‘cannin. And I was just really craving a hand tossed pepperoni pizza from Pizza Hut?
I felt this on a spiritual level, but change the hand-tossed for a stuffed crust pepperoni pizza.
We've stopped buying carryout pizza and been hitting the Digiorno stuffed crust. Half the price and makes the same turds.

I usually keep the fridge stocked with one or two frozen pizzas. I think they’re best for when you’re really hungover and do not want to leave the house. However, no frozen pizza compares to a pie from the Hut, Domino’s or Papa John. They also have deals/coupons where you can get a large, carry out pizza for $10 or $12. You cannot beat that!
Agreed Red Baron in the Freezer, The Hut or Dominos carryout is baller as well. My minskys is also crazy cheap with their family packs.
