The gE reaction if Currie goes and hires Venables would be highly entertaining though.

Doesn't fit Currie's criteria. I also am not sure they would want him. Tennessee fans think they have the best open job.

Tennessee fans seem more delusional than Nebraska fans when it comes to their place in the CFB landscape. 3rd best job in their division and maybe the 7th in their conference.

Did Stan not take into account Delton getting knocked out of both games the past two weeks?

Makes sense with Origami Rose, but Tanking  :surprised:

Also, weird thread to post this in.

Those games help keep people in sports bars too.

Also, gambling. They're the Monday night version of college football. Bookie kicked your ass all afternoon? You're in luck! Just double down on Oregon State vs Cal!

That was amazing.

So whiterose's endgame, or at least what angela thinks it is, is some sort of time travel, right?

That's a popular theory on reddit, etc. I'll be a little disappointed if this show takes a weird sci-fi turn.

The cinematography last night

Listen you idiots obviously office and parks and veep are better than Seinfeld, but they're not sitcoms. Sitcoms have laugh tracks. Seinfeld is the goat sitcom

Have never heard that sitcoms must have laugh tracks, and I strongly disagree with that take. Sitcoms have evolved and no longer need them. The exceptions being every terrible show on CBS.

I meant like hang out there and then road trip Europe afterwards. I know they drive on the opposite side over there.
That's only in the U.K. Mainland Europe drives on the same side as we do in the US. :D

You have listed several great destinations, but December is a less than ideal time to visit them.

The Office > Seinfeld

Not going to argue against this because both are fantastic. So are Parks and Rec, Always Sunny, and Veep.

11am ACC Network
#28 VA Tech 29
#63 GA Tech 21

Quietly one of the best CFB rivalries the past decade. It won't happen this year, but the winner of this game has won the Coastal division something like 9 of 11 years. Usually a close game too.

WARNING DO NOT WATCH (VIRUS!) game of the week:

11am ESPNU
#115 UConn 18
#7 UCF 58

This is a real thing, kinda: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Civil_Conflict

My brother in law has a love for Seinfeld however I recently started it and I can't stop. What is goEMAWs take on the best sitcom debate?

I think you just found it.

They are playing a Pac 12 game between two ranked teams that will end after 11:30 PM locally, 2:30 AM on the east coast. That is completely unacceptable. I couldn't imagine sitting at a football game with my family at nearly midnight, then have to sit in traffic for another hour.

Isn’t that what the Pac-12 signed up for though? Espn and fox want to grab you at 11am cst and hold your eyes until the latest possible moment. College football Saturday’s have to be the longest consecutive viewing opportunities these networks have and they get it 13 times a year while the other 352 Days a year you’re lucky to get any sort of consecutive viewing. Yeah it sucks more to be at the back end of it than the front end of it but those P12 schools would be playing in those time slots regardless of what conference they’re in or the TV deal they have.

It's what the administrators signed up for, it's not what the coaches, players, and fans signed up for. Of course the administrators had to take it because that's what was offered.

Also two things worth noting. FOX isn't giving these 7:30 and 8:00 local time kick offs for the Pac 12, that's specific to ESPN. FOX doesn't do kickoffs after primetime on the east coast. Also they would not be getting these kick times otherwise. This is a new phenomenon with the latest contract. The late kickoff used to be for the WAC conference and the Mountain West would occasionally get one. The Pac 10 used to have a lot of 2 and 5 kickoffs. ESPN is absolutely using the conference for a ratings and marketing boon, good for them, horrible for the players, coaches, and fans.

I don't disagree with anything you say, but would Coaches, players, and fans prefer those games to be in "better" times, on the Pac-12 Network? I'm not sure they would prefer that, the amount of complaining from that conference would be even louder if nobody outside their footprint ever saw their games no matter kick time. That is what it really comes down to, doesn't it?

Great points from both of you. Just backing it up with TV stats. Nearly 2M people watched the late Pac 12 game on Saturday.

Yeah, we keep getting told not to go in December due to the weather. Also, Mrs. Wacky isn't pregos yet, so she'd be able to party on this trip.

Great job by _FAN in here yesterday.

Best of luck to Chiefs on the rest of your season. The rest of the AFC west is mid-00's Big 12 north levels of bad, so you should have the division locked up by week 12. Only one game left vs. a team over .500, and it's the Bills at home.

TBT, get a damn antenna. Good grief.

I had a fantastic time in Ireland.  Great place to go with buds and check out neighborhood bars and restaurants.  Catch a rugby, Gaelic football, or hurling match. Did almost zero sightseeing other than Jameson tour.  Might not be everyone's favorite, but I really enjoyed the people there.

 I feel like I could save Ireland for a Fanning Family trip and go do all the ancestry, castle, pubs, etc. stuff another time. Although, it's still #1 on the bucket list. My uncles really into that stuff and it would probably mean more.

Europe over the holidays seems like a blast and it would be pretty relaxing for once.

Just catching up on this thread, but 8mp is absolutely correct. I went to Ireland in August and had a blast. The pubs and people are a lot of fun, and the countryside is beautiful.

Don't go in December tho because the weather will be crap. Also, the country's culture is definitely enhanced by drinking so if Mrs. Wacky cannot partake in that then she probably won't have as much fun.

Not the first time ESPN has run a story that stems from PMT, certainly not the last.
