Yes, and please excuse my hyperbole re the AAC.

The P12 is definitely shittier than the B10.

Arizona State has the best noncon resume in the country and then fell off a cliff once P12 play started. Makes no sense.

I bet both the P12 and the big 10 get 5 teams in somehow.

IN. Might go wherever we play in the tourney this year.

Me too!  :emawkid:

Georgia.  We are gonna squeeze the pits out of your peaches!
Science gave us seedless watermelons how come no seedless peaches? That pit is just the pits! It's all rough and your teeth kind of chatter across it. just the worst.
You may not be eating peaches correctly.

I have YoutubeTV so I just stare at this every commercial break regardless of the ESPN channel:

I have Hulu Live and the stupid music that goes with it has been stuck in my head for weeks

Well I don’t like him because he’s not Frank and does the opposite of what Frank would do in almost every situation (win NCAA games, be loved by his players, be accountable, be charismatic, it goes on)

His guys are very loyal to him.
Yeah, not sure where that statement came from. The guys who have stuck around love oscar and the staff.

Anything less than 7-3 record by the Big 12 will be a disappointment.

Currie doesn't deserve him, Greg.

Playing on Dec 30 would at least give fans a chance to travel. No one is going to a game on Dec 26.

Does someone here own firecurrie.com or some comparison of it? Now is the time to sell it!

Checked firecurrie.com and firejohncurrie.com - neither is available

but fire-john-currie.com is...  surprised the owner hasn't utilized either yet.  Or did JC buy it himself...

 :D

Hop over to a vols board and make at least $500

Yeah, I'd say the value on that is probably at its peak right now.

Not mine, but it belongs to someone here because it redirects to the gE basketball board. Mods?

I can think of four times that a Snyder team has scored a game winning TD on or near the last play of the game: NTSU 89, OSU 93, Cinnci 95, and last week. Three of them weren't televised! I was lucky enough to be at the first, but I've listened to the last three (was driving home from visiting family for Thanksgiving this weekend). Just seems kind of weird.

2010 vs UCF is the only other one I can think of, and I listened to that one on the radio :D

We signed a 2 year agreement with Colorado too and they were a much bigger rival than Mizzou.

I don't think rivalries can be one way. Unlike KU and Nubb's fake dismissals of a K-State rivalry, Colorado truly didn't care about us any differently than any other conference school not named Nebraska. They barely cared about Nebraska,.

The CU fan base may have not considered it a rivalry, but the CU/K-State game usually meant something during the DoD. The only Mizzou games I can remember mattering were 98 and 03.

Big Ten/Pac 12/ACC are all much better landing zones for an up and coach to manage expectations.

I mean look at how long you can stay put with mediocre results at some of those places. SEC is the worst and Big 12 is probably 2nd for shortest leash for a coach.
and UTenn is the toughest with the worst expectations to local recruiting territory ratio and the Alabama cross over game.

I kinda want to see Briles get the UTenn or Ole Miss job

May not be in Ole Miss' best interests to hire someone with Briles' issues as their next head coach. And LOL at Currie hiring him.

No idea why people think Leavitt was so successful at USF. In the 5 years he was in the Big East he had a sub-.500 conference record, and never finished better than t-3rd or ranked in the final AP poll.

I'm sure he could lead us to a couple of 7-6 seasons and maybe a Cactus Bowl win.
Nobody's claiming he turned it into some dynasty.  But he did build a program, completely from nothing, and make them respectable.  In short, he's a very good d-coordinator with solid HC experience.

In that sense he was successful. But his program hit a plateau once it entered a power conference. He would have a very low ceiling in the Big 12.

If he wants to come here as our D coordinator that would be fine, but no thanks on him being the HC.

Listening to an interview with this portnoy dude, what a douche

Correct. But the fact that he is genuine about it is what many find appealing.

Tennessee is about to put $340 million into stadium upgrades.  I'm not sure I'd call them 7th in the conference, but could see 3rd in the east.  The school has a lot of upside, amazing setting, (great hill to look upon, even though you can't see them from in the stadium), crap loads of growth on campus (huge student union project), and some pretty good talent around them.  For sure though, the people here think they are on the verge of competing with Bama with just a HC change.  It's a little bit odd to see their expectations.  Bu that is what happens when you have years of the SEC is best nonsense.

In no particular order...Bama, LSU, Auburn, Florida, and Georgia are all better jobs. It's a toss up with TAMU for #6.

FWIW, Florida's facilities are apparently awful, and even though Scott Striclin is now the AD Jeremy Foley is still around helping with decision-making and he is apparently tight fisted with money. ONE of the issues the athletic department had with JM is that he brought this up, unprompted at a press conference.

They just completed a new indoor practice facility in 2015 and are breaking ground on a training center/dining hall next month. Also worth noting that Laird Veatch will be involved with oversight of that project. He'll probably have some input on their coaching hire too.

Wow, last week they bought a hillbilly boxing league and now they're getting their own SiriusXM channel.
