NIL is all that matters in getting players. If you pay the most, you will have a great team. Then you can afford to have a painful dork as a coach as long as he is good at teaching X and O.  Your school can be located in a crap hole and you’ll be just fine.

Put another way, great programs are purchased.

Calipari to Arkansas is being reported as a done deal by everyone.

CBS and others allege that Drew is on the short list for Kentucky. If he went, I wonder if Tang would want the Baylor job. My guess is that he would and that the interest would be mutual.

I kinda agree with clams that Drew is probably very happy at Baylor, having built them from nothing. BUT, what I fear is a situation where Drew agrees to leave it in the capable hands of his long time co-builder and friend Jerome Tang.

With the transfer portal, and just how college basketball rosters are constructed in general, I don't understand how different UK could be from a job at which a coach has achieved a Final 4 before. Outside of salary. If you can win a national championship at Baylor (for instance) what would UK have to offer? Just seems like more boosters to piss off.

If I were a coach, I’d want two things. A guarantee to have the largest NIL in the country and the largest salary package (annual * guaranteed years) in the country.

Totally- They will never be able to recreate the Arrowhead aura. I'm more saying like if they moved, I couldn't care less if they play in Wyandotte, Johnson, Clay, Jackson etc.

Really doubt that could happen until Jerry Jones is dead.  Austin tho, that is a boom town.

Also, the bit about conferences facing real financial hardship likely does not impact the SEC or big 10. From their perspective, who gives a crap?

Those two can watch it all burn and survive and thrive while killing the competition.

All behavior by the conferences and schools can be explained or predicted based on deciding what makes the most near term benefit.  No admin of the conferences or schools makes more money if the conference or the school is better off in 30 years.

gE has plan for how to address squatters in our corporate office as a part of our emergency preparedness program.  Most of these squatters are not going to answer the door, so subterfuge is required.

The key is to entice the squatter, praying upon their own self interests. The challenge is in finding something that will appeal to the vast majority of squatters.

Below is a mock up of our plan.




Not pictured (concealed behind bouquet) is the largest handgun made in America (a bespoke squattershooter3000).  When the squatter opens the front door gE staffers/summer-intern will blow the squatters rough ridin' brains all over the wall, door, woodwork, floor, and welcome mat.
