Does Pence's protest really mean anything?  I mean he already gave his money to the company what do they care if he leaves?  It's not like he is getting a refund.

Kansas State Football / Re: what if jerry ertz is a complete badass??
« on: September 16, 2017, 11:08:59 PM »
He was not seeing down the field at all, could have been great coverage hard to tell on tv but on the last play there was a receiver wide open at the 1st down marker and Ertz just did not see him.  I was so excited when I saw him pop open in the middle of the field and then about lost it when Ertz didn't throw it.

Why did I think that was a police line up picture?  There should be heights written on the lines.

Kansas State Football / Re: Drafting QBs
« on: August 15, 2017, 09:37:48 AM »
Semi-related: I've wondered before how much Freeman could have benefited from staying for his senior season and spending a year under Snyder. Can't imagine it would have improved his draft stock, but I do wonder if it could have made him a little tougher.

I don't know if he was willing and able to run the ball like Snyder wants the QB to run, which is completely fine, the guy was an arm for hire. He was just as good as Tim Couch who was an overall #1 pick.
I agree with this, but Snyder let Chad May sling the ball a little bit and I don't remember May running the option very much but I was young then and didn't pay as close of attention to the play selections.  so maybe he would have adjusted to Freeman's strong points.  I've often thought about what would have happened for sure.

So do we snorkel with a guide or just rent the stuff and do it on our own?  That was also on our list to do.

on your own. it's super easy and pud because you're inside a collapsed volcano with coral blocking the waves and turtles and crap are all over your entire face. get there right when it opens.
 :billdance:

So we are heading to Oahu, Hawaii next week.  Any tips for fun activities with 3 boys 8, 10, 13?  My wife is not an outdoorsy person but will do some mild hiking.  The boys and I love to hike, run, bike, swim, kayak etc... We are taking surf lessons for a couple of hours on one day probably rent boogie boards or something and spend a day on the beach (but which beach?)  Probably hike Diamond head, spend half day at Pearl Harbor, spend half day or more at North Shore.  But looking for the more out of the way things to do that may be less touristy.

Surprised Kennedy made the cut.
Kennedy would not be a democrat in today's politics.  Just from his one quote "ask not what your country can do for you, but what can you do for your country."  sounds like blasphemy to a democrat these days.  Snowflakes would be so upset because the government is supposed to give us everything, right?

All of them

Kansas State Football / Re: KSU Football player interaction thread
« on: June 07, 2017, 07:30:06 AM »
Just read this thread for the first time.  JFC.

I bought a Saturday night fever 8 track for Ryan Young (nicest guy ever). He drove an old Lincoln Town car that had an 8 track tape deck.  He loved it.  He also broke the passenger seat of my grand am, that same night the tried to get to Japanese girls to make out it was pretty lol.

Ryan Young broke my passenger seat in my car.  It was a piece of crap 2 door grand am and he is a big boy.  plus he had a Japanese girl on his lap.

One time I was at this party at the UC and the girls apartment we were at was right across Jarvis Leverett's crib and he was there and I was drinking sailor jerry and coke. Ran out of coke so Leveritt suggested I just drink the rest of the rum. Said why not? I got this. Ended up terrible. Got blackout drunk and was wasted until 1:00 p.m. The next day. Point of the story Leveritt is a great guy and helped carry me to the car I was given a ride by.

Jarvis leverett helped me get to my friends car one night. (I was an absolute mess) he later recognized me at country stampede that year.

Kansas State Football / Re: Football Recruiting Thread

Just can't believe we beat out Flat Top Mullet at OSU.  I wonder if Optimious CK7 recruited him.

It says Tom Hayes was the recruiter.

Played basketball with Percell Gaskins at the rec.  He jumped over my head and dunked on me, it was kind of awesome.

Watched Jeff Kelly use a fraternity bros head to clean the wheel well of someones car outside of lucky's Brew grill.

Delton's arm looked really really weak.
More like Duckton because he can't throw for crap.
I'm pretty sure I told you guys these things his senior year in high school.

Basketball - Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdule Jabbar, Dominique Wilkins
Baseball - George Brett, Willie Wilson, frank White, Brett Saberhagen (sp?)

67
Alex Delton ran the wildcat every time he played.

68
If we just used him in the wildcat he wouldn't have to remember anything. I mean, even the defense already knows the play.
But what if he has trouble with knowing his left from his right?  That could be a problem.

Serious answer: I've come to understand that one's political ideology is not really a matter of intelligence. I know plenty of bright, successful liberals who function perfectly well in their everyday lives. But start talking politics and we're looking at each other like we're from different planets. Our priorities are totally different. I'm concerned about things like economic prosperity, the rule of law, and the right to life. They're really concerned about whether a Christian bakery can refuse to bake a wedding cake for a gay couple, or whether a mentally disturbed high school student who thinks he's a woman can shower in the women's locker room. I don't think it's fair that I should have to pay a higher percentage of taxes just because I've achieved more success - liberals have a totally different definition of "fair." Etc. etc.

Whether nature or nurture, our brains are just wired differently. So I stopped calling liberals "libtards" because it doesn't accomplish anything and it doesn't have anything to do with intelligence - I cannot change the lens through which you view the world. You want to think I'm horrible, greedy, selfish person without conscience? Ok, go ahead and think that. I give a lot of time and money to charities which I think are far more effective than any government program. But think what you want.
This is a great answer and probably where I lean especially the last sentence.  I think the liberal contingent thinks with their heart and wants everyone to get everything they want unless it's too much then they must give it to someone else who has need.  While I can sympathize with this as I have looked at someone who has an abundance and thought he could give me what he is not using and I could be set for life.  However, I don't expect that as he has put in the time and effort to earn what he has and should do with it as they wish and it's unrealistic to expect someone to hand me something without earning it.  I would hope as a christian man if I had excess I would give it to those that need it, not the government because they are very inefficient at distributing and handling money.  So I don't feel I'm greedy, selfish, or horrible just disagree as to what role the government should play in our lives.

71
Trying to get a feel of what you call the far right.  What are the horrible, selfish, greedy things that they do?  I need to know where I stand on the 7lib right spectrum.

Is it bad that when we were up 8 under 1 min to go I kept having the feeling we were going to lose to Wake Forest?

Was that when they played ND? Canary was just telling me about that.
Yep I went to that game.

Well, after getting abused by Dish on paying god awful amounts for TV for channels I don't even care about, mostly, I went to their "Flex Package" 3 weeks ago.......I lost ESPNU

Wouldn't you know it, every Cat game since then has been on ESPNU and have missed it. Guess what channel tomorrow's game is on?....... :curse:

Options:  stay at home and ignore it
stay at home and listen to it online
go to my FIL's and watch it, only to have him constantly channel surf b/w commercials until I "remind" him to back to the game and we miss big chunks of it :bang:
get your 7 day free sling trial and watch it anywhere.

My first question is why does that racist have all those black people in his office?  :surprised: Then I saw Kelly Ann sitting kind of oddly on the couch and didn't really know what the logo was.

But if that makes me a dumb dumb I can live with that.  :ksu:
