The New Joe Montgomery Birther Pit / Re: The Trump Presidency

It's so incredible that there is some dude out there doing political propaganda that exceeds Trump's wildest fantasies and he just does it all on his own and not like for his day job as a government employee.

I had the same thought when I read the DOJ statement. The statement is meaningless at this point.

Special counsel Robert S. Mueller III expressed his concerns in a letter to William P. Barr after the attorney general publicized Mueller’s principal conclusions. The letter was followed by a phone call during which Mueller pressed Barr to release executive summaries of his report.

Do you guys think they talk in some quasi Old English that's really tedious to listen to?

If there are too many Trump investigations, that's pretty much on Trump.

Klieman has clearly lost control of a substantial portion of the team, but also looks like he knows exactly what it takes to right the ship.

I just booked flightsbird.com tickets to Greece and flightsbird.com/flights tickets to Mumbai. Very low cost. And fun.

I've used both in the past and I honestly can't tell the difference. Both are fun.

I don't like how he underestimates the ability of these women to think strategically. If they think that there are lots of people who wouldn't vote for a candidate for sexist reasons, they are correct. But I'm guessing I'd also disagree with him on the idea that Democrats could have done better in 2016 with a different candidate.

All the bad things that russia’s doing to us - do we do any of it?

Some, not all. And we're way less capable at the stuff we do.

If you ain’t cheating, you ain’t trying?

This question has been rattling around in my head for a few days. Here's what I'd say. There is no official government position on this stuff. It's not like a war, where you have to try to provide some semblance of justification to the public. This stuff, by its very nature, is not known by the public. So, all you have is the justifications of a bunch of individual dudes in the U.S. government, which can vary wildly. Everything from "ease the suffering of children of the world" to "own the libs" to "whatever my GRU spymaster tells me to do."
