Can someone please clear up what the implications of not having a release are? No Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) answers please.
Has to sit a year either way. Can't be on a football scholly his first season out (at least at a D1) if not released. Going to USC is just as easy as going to KSU for him if he has no release. The rumor was that they wouldn't release him or anyone to go to USC but everyone was hopeful that they would release him to KSU. He can't play next year either way but he could at least get a football scholly and redshirt if he had a release. No downside whatsoever for us if he still comes to KSU. He'd just redshirt and pay his own way.
Amazing how many people in these reports continue to act like the release is a big deal. Most prolly don't realize it costs KS kids $12.00 to go to KSU.
And do we really need him this year? NO!
